I took the girls and I there last year and this year. We went on the wagon ride out to the huge field of pumpkins and picked one from the vine. It was wonderful just to be out there, but especially fun to watch the younger children in their bright jackets trying to find the perfect one. The market itself has baked goods; you can get fudge or hot chocolate, plants, fresh veggies, garden ornaments, antiques, and homemade salad dressings & jams in the barn. Outside there are soils, mulches and stones for sale, and there is a huge corn maze to walk through. The prices are reasonable ($2 wagon ride, $4 maze) and it can be a really fun few hours for a family or group of friends.

This 500-hectare working farm serves as an experimental station for both farmers and food manufacturers.
Going in the spring to see the baby animals is such a highlight for the whole family. It is always so informative and the staff are really engaging for the kids.

Children and adults alike will enjoy seeing a wide variety of farm animals and birds up close, from alpacas to zebus, goats to geese. Ride the Valleyview Express train through fields of corn, soybeans and hay. Children will enjoy our creative farm playgrounds and trike corral. Explore Bill’s Old Farm Museum to learn about our agricultural past. Watch puppet/singing chicken shows. Have lunch or a snack in the Sunflower Cafe and browse in Robyn’s Nest Gift Shop.
We went here because my sister in law wanted us to go with her, and I'm happy we did. There was a lot in the park and play structures for the kids to do. They loved seeing the animals and the adults enjoyed seeing the "old" farm equipment. The souvenir shop and canteen was reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely go again.

The Log Farm, one of the areas hidden treasury, is a replication of what a family farm was like in the mid 1800's in Ottawa. This is 110 acre oasis located right in the middle of today's busy city. This farm was settled by the Bradley family and together Abraham and his wife Matilda raised nine children on this farm. The focus of the farm is to give visitors a sense of what day to day life was like for the Bradley family. That may be a casual self guided "tour through time" to just enjoy the sights and sounds of the farm animals and see all the different building on the homestead. How they managed with eleven people in a five room house is just one of the things to marvel at.

Went 2 days before Halloween and was worried about the wait times. It was packed when we went but the lines moved so fast, and the experience was worth the short wait(<15min). Nice mix of scary experiences! Free parking and lots of food! Will be returning!

Had a great time today. Went on the wagon ride and visited the animals. They didn’t have the best season for apples but we picked up a bag of mixed, cortland, lobo and macintosh varieties. Tried the tacos and churros, delicious.
