A family owned dairy farm located north of Kansas City. Tours are offered by appointment Tuesday - Saturday, by calling the farm. Tour goers can see how the family milks cows, bottles the milk in glass bottles, makes cheese and more. Visitors can also pet the baby calves, milk a cow and sample many of their award winning products. The farm is open 7 days a week with the country store open from 8-6 during the week and from 9-4 on the weekend. Come visit and enjoy yummy local products, great country setting and a fun agri-tourism experience.
Ever wonder where your milk, cheese, ice cream, and other dairy products come from? Take the Shatto tour and see it all first hand. For $6 you get a behind-the-scenes look at a dairy farm, the change to have your thumb sucked on by a milking machine, the chance to milk a cow by hand, and the chance to step in manure if you aren't careful. Hey, they warn you it is a working farm! Great for city kids, but we've been here a couple of times, even with 20+ adult year old "children", and always enjoyed it. You get a tour and explanation of the production, milking demonstration, samples of many flavored milks they make (we all liked root beer), cheeses, and butter based spreads. The gift store sells all that and more.

This is a small, working family farm. Take a tractor-pulled wagon ride to pick pumpkins off the vine. Or, choose pre-picked pumpkins from the yard, crawl on and under the straw, walk the corn maze, feed goats, go pumpkin bowling, sling pumpkins, play our mini farm golf, decorate pumpkins, milk the cow and more. Experience all the colors, sights and sounds of harvest on the farm. Groups welcome!

Located less than an hours drive from Kansas City, Yaya's Alpaca Farm invites you to come make some memories with the alpacas. We offer a 90 minute tour to learn about, photograph and feed our large alpaca herd. Farm tours are offered 7 days a week in our climate controlled barn at 10:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30 pm rain or shine. See a demonstration of our machines used to make alpaca products, and shop our farm store for unique alpaca gifts! Individuals, families, groups and bus tours welcome!
Our 58 mile trip to YAYA'S was a home run for our three granddaughters - 16,13 AND 8. It is hard to find something that the girls really like to do together given their range of ages. Highlights of the visit included meeting Carl, the owner, and having hands on with the alpacas "Mr, Ed", "Einstein" and "Christmas" inside the classroom. We took lots of photos. Suggest you wear shoes and clothing to match the farm conditions. A bonus was learning how the wool is made into clothing. IMHO you should leave 1 1/2 - 2 hours for the visit. I believe we had a jewell of a visit and connected with Nature and the wonderful world of the Alpaca. I have visited most activities in the KC area and rate this visit at the top of my adventures. Thanks Carl for a great time.

We have visited this farm every year for over 5 years now. They have all of the animals you'd expect to find on a farm, and its right on Hwy N off Hwy K. You wander around at your own pace and see and feed the animals and there are different things for the kids to do. They have a great corn maze each year and it's included in the price of admission, $7 or $8 each. Highly recommend a visit.

I learned about Green Dirt Farm while watching a TV show called "Tastemakers". It was so interesting I knew I must visit it in person. I was not disappointed when I traveled to Weston, Missouri, and toured the farm. Not only is the cheese they make delicious, they are a responsible farm, caring wholeheartedly for their animals and the earth that produces the grass they eat. The tour begins and ends at their cheese shop, which is a lovely place to have lunch and a glass of wine. Don't miss an opportunity to visit one of the few sheep dairies in the U.S.

In 1907 a Christian minister named Harold Bell Wright wrote a book that would forever change southwest Missouri. The Shepherd of the Hills became a instant best seller making Branson into a tourist destination overnight. On this historic Homestead, where he spent his summers with the Ross family, whom he based the book around, we bring to life beautiful outdoor drama that made Branson into a Christian destination. Now going into our 60th season! Come see the story of the Ozarks.
We were staying at a condo on the lake so this was close by and we decided to stop in there one day To do the observation tower and ended up spending a few days there. We ziplined and saw two shows. We were at on their 60th anniversary show. Holy cow it was really neat. One of the guides told us that they were the best adventure park in America according to USA today two years running.

Family farm open to tourists that features a seed plot and a new corn maze every season.
A visit to Shryocks is worth the trip out of Columbia! You'll enjoy the corn maze, delicious treats, and fun games and activities in the barn. All in all...a great time!
