This is an amazing place - every time you go (whether you're an adult or child), there's something new going on. First off - the park offers lots of events - snow showing in the winter, bird watching and bird banding. Check out the website/newsletter to find out when the next event is taking place. There are many trails and paths that walk along the river. Fortunately, there are benches along the path - when you see something beautiful, you can sit, pause, and enjoy the view.

You should bring quarters to buy animal feed for a fuller experience. In the Fall our Corn Maze opens Sep 22 & runs daily to Oct 31: 10a-7p. Located just 20min N of St. Paul & Minneapolis. Maze-goers can choose from two different phases. Activities included with admission: pedal carts for all ages, pedal trikes, spider web, mini maze, hay jump, corn box, & much more! Waldoch Farm is where we come for our pumpkins every year. This year it was possible and safe at the same time! Covid-aware business with safety in mind: Masks required, hand washing & sanitizing stations all over, spacing throughout. Lots of variety in the gourds and pumpkins! We got the popcorn-on-the-cob and will try to make it later.

Wonderful experience! In town from NC, I called last minute on a Sunday and Rick greeted us with his 100+ llovable llama herd. He spent over 2 hours with my Mom and I, teaching us much about llamas and allowing us to get up close and personal with his wonderful, beautiful "llivestock". Don't underestimate a winter visit! The experience was surely one we will never forget. I can't say enough about how wonderful Rick was in coming out on a Sunday afternoon to make our trip complete. And what's worse - now I want my own llama farm! Nothing like a "llovable llama" visit! Will be back when I'm next in town and would highly recommend Carlson's Llovable Llamas to anyone in the area! (And check out the Zoar Moravian Church just nearby - an historic and beautiful 1863 Moravian Church and cemetery...)

Explore the newly expanded and enhanced facilities to learn about today's agriculture and then visit an original 1860s working farm. Activities follow the farming cycle and change with the season, making each visit unique. Visitors can meet the animals in the barn, help work in the fields and gardens, and see what's cooking in the farmhouse. The Oliver Kelley Farm is a National Historic Landmark.
We purchased a History Museum membership and this is a site that was included in the package. The kids an I enjoyed a fun afternoon here "play working".

I live in Shakopee and I had never been here until this year. I had always wondered what the big deal was... Now I know! We thought we'd go and spend a couple of hours here... NOPE, 6 hours later... we left with pumpkins, apples and memories of a good ol' time. We went with our nieces and nephews. Ages ranging from 2 to 8. They all had a blast. The corn pit was a huge hit. They have one pit that is just full of corn. The other pit is also full of corn, but has a slide, swings, and monkey bars. The kids spent at least an hour in the corn pits. They have entertainment throughout the day. You can purchase a bucket of pumpkins and launch them at an old truck. They have a tent of parakeets, where you WILL have birds land on you.. that was another favorite of our group. Animals to pet such as Kangaroos, cows, llamas, pigs etc.. And obviously a corn maze... which we never even made it too. Fun little outing to do in the fall with family, friends, or your significant other.

This farm is pleasant and simple but has everything you need. It was snowing so we didn’t want to stay long. A neighboring orchard would not let us buy pumpkins without paying the admission fee. So we found this farm. They had handy wagons for use. There was a nice variety of pumpkins and pre-picked apples so we could head home before it got too cold. (Sweet Tango apples!) There were chickens, goats, wishing well and a photo op. You could pick your own apples if you wanted. The apple pie and pumpkin cheesecake from the store were truly amazing. If you want a quick stop or don’t want all the busyness at big orchards, this was a lovely experience.
