The dreamy island that provided inspiration to Chopin and Miró now has a reputation as a spring break beach destination. Don't worry, though, if you're vacationing over elementary school spring break-- there's plenty for the younger crowd. Marineland's dolphin and sea lion shows and children's beach attract families. And if you have a Thomas-obsessed toddler, the antique train that travels between Palma and Soller is a must-see.

A guide will teach you amazing facts about these ancient birds, in a safe and respectful environment. Tours are interesting, fun and very surprising. If you prefer not to go for a guided tour, you are welcome to meet the ostriches by yourself. Please check website for current prices and timetables.
This place is quite unique. It is a bit rough around the edges but for us this only added to the charm. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. If they got tired of answering my children’s many, many questions it didn’t show! We had a fabulous time learning all sorts of interesting facts and were lucky enough to come home with an ostrich egg thanks to a very kind Italian family. This has gone to school so we can share the ostrich love with our friends in Newcastle!

Delicious fresh oranges, orange juice, marmalade and traditional Mallorcan tomatoes on bread all included-lovely treat!

I ride at home so I was really excited when I heard there was a ranch literally across the road from my hotel. I visited the first night and did the experienced ride at 8pm... absolutely loved it, had a really good gallop up to the castle and a bit of a paddle in the sea. It did go dark during the ride but I didn’t mind so much as the sky was pretty and it was cooler for the horses. Went back the second night but wasn’t enough people to do a ride which is fair enough. The 3rd night I took my partner who doesn’t ride so we did the normal 6pm ride which is pretty much walking the whole way. Miguel’s son knew I was experienced so for the last part up to the castle he put me at the front of the group to hold the others back and let me gallop by myself... which was amazing! 4th night again not enough people for the 8pm ride but on the 5th night he said we could go as didn’t want to turn me away again (even though there was only two of us on the ride) so did lots of galloping again... Miguel’s son (I don’t remember his name) tried to chat to me the best he could on the last night, although there was a language barrier he was lovely, always making sure everything was ok and having general chit chat. I paid 15 euros and the rides were roughly 1 hr 30 which is great value! Horses aren’t cheap! Considering all of the scenery, length of time, the gorgeous horses and their amazing behaviour this place is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for making my holiday!
