Centrally located Umbria's principal cities include Spoleto, Assisi, and Terni. The capital, Perugia, is famed for its chocolate. Take a tour bus or prepare for daredevil Italian drivers if you opt to rent a car. Assisi's Basilica has a host of treasures, including works by Giotto. The town is also home to the crypt of St. Clare, patron saint of television. St. Francis' meditation retreat is in the mountains to the north. Classes at Velia's Cooking Style in Terni make good use of local produce.

This B&B is what you would imagine when dreaming about travelling in Italy. Located right in wine and olive tree country, rollings green hills with far away villas and a superbe view of the town of Orvieto, which is an easy 15 minute drive. Breakfast was delicious, all made from scratch with a lovely selection of cakes and biscotti take on the terrace. Angela was a delight throughout, helping us with excellent advise on local diner spot and where to find the best parking when visiting Orvieto. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

The farm holiday Casale delle Lucrezie has lovely and comfortable double rooms (there is a fantastic SUITE) and indipendet apartments with private bathroom, indipendently controlled heating, TV and a large swimming pool with a magnificent view on Todi and surrounding. The Italian style breakfast, with cakes, home-made jams and typical local products is served in spacious rooms and, upon request, international breakfast may also be organised. The Casale delle Lucrezie Agriturismo in Todi features a new Beauty Centre (SPA), opened in December 2009: a great chance for our guests to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable holiday or weekend in Umbria, surrounded by nature! Our establishment is also strategically placed geographically for reaching the most beautiful and culturally important citis and towns of Umbria such as Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Spello, Gubbio, Montefalco, the Marmore water falls which be reached in a short time by car.
We just couldn't believe how excellent this place was when we arrived. Hands down, it is like heaven. Great view over the valley and the ancient Roman settlement Todi. There's a big garden to relax, a swimming pool with the same breathtaking view. For those who like to be active, there is a gym and in the rare case of rain there is a pool table, chess and more. Raffaele and is mum are so kindhearted and went above and beyond to give us a holiday of a lifetime. Ow and the BREAKFAST is to die for; homemade cakes, bread, fruits, yoghurt, you name it and it was there. Can't wait to visit again one day.

We had a group dinner here. The food was outstanding. Fresh and Plentiful. It was a true Italy experience. Pablo the owner and I think at least the 6th generation was there, as was his son, and his little grandchildren. "Alba" the cook prepared a meal for kings. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I would go back again in a heartbeat and will tell everyone they should eat here. We didn't stay there overnite, but I would have!

We stayed with our 2 kids, the place is in the middle of olive trees, just outside Assisi. It is excellent location if you want to avoid staying in the center, but close to the village. The room was large and clean. Plenty of parking, very quite area. Good breakfast with homemade cakes and biscuits. We found the price excellent for the quality of the stay. The owners were extremely kind and discrete. The guy gave us lots of great tips for sightseeing, he knows a lot and conveys his passion for the valuable surroundings. If I went back, I would definitely come back. I would recommend the place, I do not see how people can’t love it.

An enchanting Relais, a romantic and exclusive retreat just 5 km from the center of Perugia, where you can forget the bustle of the city and regenerate your mind in the rolling Umbrian hills. You will find the warmth and attention of a finely restored historic home, with the services of a small charming hotel, where you can relax and enjoy the pool, the garden and the rich library that preserves a wide selection of books to discover at it’s best Perugia and Umbria. The Relais Casamassima is also a place for the celebration of civil marriages; can host receptions, birthday parties, dinners or lunches by reservation, or tastings of olive oil, wine and typical products.
We enjoyed four nights in a spacious suite at Relais Casamassima. We can't say enough about the responsive and knowledgeable staff, Lucetta and Alessia. They were always there to help and were very easy to communicate with. The accommodations are just as advertised. Do be aware that dinner, unless pre-arranged is no longer served daily. But the dinner we did arrange for our arrival day was excellent, as was breakfast every morning on the terrace.

Set on a hill, 5 minutes walk from the city center, the Relais Castelluccio Palusse finally opens its doors and it is transformed into a charming countryhouse. Built in the XIXth century, by the will of the illegitimate daughter of King Vittorio Emanuele II,this historical hotel residence offers 7 elegant and spacious rooms that evoke ancient and romantic atmospheres, with all the comforts of a modern city hotel.
We just arrived . The owner is extremely nice and helpful . We are staying in a beautiful very spacious room that offers us the opportunity to open our luggage to a full extent and wonder around . The best place to take a good rest and even read a book

A beautiful and serene farm to help you get away, truly relax and rejuvenate. This bed and breakfast is situated in the middle of a peaceful and picturesque Italian countryside. We were hosted by a wonderful family (Massimo and his two sons, Samuele and Emanuele) who were the definition of hospitable. I was amazed at this self-sustaining farm. It was as if everything we ate, was made in house (pasta, oil, vegetables, cheese, etc). I was in awe and impressed from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Can’t wait to visit again.

I can only echo many previous reviews…… Sara Sposini’s dedication to ensuring that all of her guests have an enjoyable and memorable stay is superhuman! We left refreshed, feeling that we had been looked after with much care and attention. A wonderful atmosphere pervades the Abbazia and we felt so terribly fortunate to spend some time there. Thank you also to Jola; maker of the most comfortable bed and Sara’s mum; maker of super tasty honey cakes and tortilla! We stayed at Sara’s place for two weeks, having experienced a longer stay we feel confident in giving this heartfelt review.

The farm "LA CHIUSETTA" is in splendid panoramic views of Orvieto, only 10 minuts from centre, receive one's guests in three distinct farm- hauses, with rooms and apartments. It enjoys an extensive garden with welcoming pergolas, a small lake and a scenic swimming pool.
I really enjoyed this holiday. A beautiful place set in acres of vineyards and olive grows with a lovely pool and quaint old stone house. The fam is located fifteen minutes drive from the beautiful town of Orvieto and is well placed for trips outwards. We visited both Rome (1.25 hours train) and Florence (1 hour drive) during our visit. Assisi was also nice. Hosts were very good. It is a little, but this was an attraction for us.
