Portugal’s Mediterranean charm is most prominent on the golden beaches of the Algarve; in the wilderness of the Azores islands; among the vineyards of Douro Valley; and on the cobbled streets of Lisbon and Porto, where old-world culture meets cosmopolitan bars and restaurants.

Great place, great location, great owner, great hospitality, great stay. The suite we stayed is very large, well decorated, well equipped, very convenient. The whole place as well as all rooms are very clean, it is very important to the owner and she puts a lot of efforts on that. The owner is very kind and warm - will do everything for you - advices for trips, restaurants, what to see, what to do. She will listen for any request/need and will do her utmost to meet your needs. Tasty and rich breakfast - all is fresh and at the time you ask for. Elsa took care of us like we are part of her family. It is well located for trips in Serra da Estrela park, some of the trips can start from the place itself without need for a car.

A different and innovative Agritourism. Douro - World Heritage. The Casa da Trigueira provides a composite tourism, taking advantage of the resources of the Douro.
If you want to see and feel the "real" Portugal, stay here. This is a small home in a tiny burg of about 300 people. The streets are cobblestone and the homes are made of stone. The road thru town is the width of a wagon, and there's one place in town that served us magnificent (and generous portions) of Portuguese cuisine -- $25 for 2 with wine and dessert. Amazing. The casa is owned by a loving host family. Antonio, the the owner, took care of our entire stay in the Douro -- arranging a boat trip, port tasting and providing insider expertise on where to go (or not go). He is incredibly friendly and helpful despite limited English (thank heavens for Google translate!). It's about 20 minutes or so from Pinhao on the windy road that provides spectacular views. The landscape around the town is spectacular -- vineyards and olives as far as the eye can see. There are two relatively flat hiking trails that go thru town, including a 4 KM circular route. The photos in the autumn look amazing. The rooms are simple but nice; we had the big one with large bathroom on the first floor that had its own porch. Lovely linens and super clean. WiFi provided. This was the highlight of our 2 week trip of Portugal and we recommend it highly!

Bela Vista Silo Housing is an AgroTourism in northern Portugal. Our rooms are Farming grain Silos transformed into modern facilities, with stylish design embedded into the farming landscape.
Perfect place for couples. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. There’s dogs and cats around, but they’re no nuisance at all. There’s restaurantes a short drive distance, however I would recommend eat the traditional food on the terrace so you can enjoy the sunset. The food is topical Portuguese food and really tasty. The pool is natural / ecologic with an area reserved for water plants.

In Alentejo, six kilometers away from Beja, Herdade da Diabroria is distinguished by its generous size of 300 acres, retaining all the rural sight, circumscribed by grain fields and sunflowers and the charm that combines tradition with modernity since 1889. We provide the space and the hospitality and let you enjoy the beautiful landscape, highlighting the spectacular lake of rainwater, flown by various waterfowl, where you can go boating or fishing, and may also explore the region, or even observe or participate in the agricultural life of the property. Here is your haven away from the hectic pace of big cities.
What did I like? I liked everything about Herdade da Diabrória. Let's do it by steps. The room is large, well decorated, well soundproofed and fresh. (with 40C outside, I turned on the air conditioning once). The beds are very comfortable, as are the pillows. The bathroom is perfectly adequate and functional. Breakfast is good, varied and fresh. It is worth mentioning the carrot cake and the pumpkin compote, which are delicious! The staff is ALL fabulous! Extremely helpful, friendly, welcoming and in a good mood. On one of the days, at lunch/snack I ordered a Diabrória Salad with changes (because I'm lactose intolerant) and it came perfect and was wonderful. The pool is big enough, perfectly adequate and functional. The scenery around the pool is fabulous. You can hear the ducks, birds, turtledoves and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty scenery. It is a perfect place to rest and unwind. All anti-Covid rules are strictly adhered to. Definitely a place to come back to and even explore in winter too.

Quinta de Sao Bernardo - Winery & Farmhouse is a 7 room guest house, winery, vineyard, restaurant, outdoor cinema and much more, all overlooking the Douro.
We heard about this place through a mutual friend, and after seeing the reviews, we immediately booked it. After staying just a few moments, we knew that the reviews were all true! The attention to detail and service was impeccable. It rivals that of many five star properties I have stayed at. The staff as well as the owners were readily available, and they clearly cared about their guests and their experiences. The food is fresh and literally grown on property. Of course being in the heart of the Douro Valley, there is a winery! Their wines are of high-quality and are thoughtfully paired with the food. We were only able to stay for two nights, but we certainly look forward to returning in the future. It is quite a journey to get there, but very well worth it! The roads are all safe, easy to follow, and a golf cart with a team member will pick you up at the property entrance.

Quinta de Lavandas is an exceptional place for a night (or nights) stay. It is a magnificent mansion outside Costello de Vida. The room is well decorated and was very clean. The breakfast was wonderful, all a person can expect from a breakfast-menu. The owner, Teresa, is very helpful. She knows the area very well, and assisted us very kindly.

Located in Arouca, Quinta de Anterronde - opened in August 2014 - locate in an typicaL rurset in a farm with kiwis and blueberries. Installed at a site dating back to the fifteenth century, the main building of Quinta de Anterronde is considered a point of historical interest in the region, being a family home of wealthy farmer. The establishment offers nine suites.
This is a very special place, a farm renovated with lots of charm. Local fruit production, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and very good breakfast. Beautiful views and very quiet. We travelled with 2 kids, very welcomed. Don’t hesitate to stay there when visiting Arouca.

Casa das Palmeiras, ... a place to return, where unique experiences happen!
We had the pleasure of a day trip to this great venue last week. It was a perfect place for a little one to start to experience nature, learn how to stroke and feed animals. So safe we felt totally free to let him walk and mix with the animals even trying to catch one of the freerange chickens. We took our own picnic and they have some great picnic baskets available too which we will definately do next visit. AND if we can we will stay as the cabins look great as does a dip in the natural pool. Owners were very accommodating and flexible on timing on that day which was great with a very little one. We will be back :)
