I called my review ‘Sinks and tiles’ as that is exactly what I have bought from Fajalauza over the last twenty years in order to finish two bathrooms and two kitchens in my two tiny village houses south of Granada. They are all made in a way that the tiles in the Alhambra were made and it would be difficult to find anything more authentic. Whether this a tourist destination or not I’m not entirely sure, but Gustavo, who runs it, is a great character and very helpful. They also have some beautifully designed handmade plates and bowls and any number of other domestic items which can be ordered and made to your own specifications. The factory is handily situated at the top of the old Arab quarter; the Albaicin.
