The wine is superb and very reasonably priced (you should note that I'm from London). The cheese and charcuterie are all locally sourced and simply lovely. The decor is modern and pleasant. The service is very friendly and very informative. If you get a chance to have a chat to the owner you should. He is extremely friendly and loves to discuss wine and cheese, very informative. I have no problems in recommending this place for a glass of wine or a light meal. Can't wait to return.

Welcome to the Box Lunch a unique organic restaurant, Fish, meat, vegetable are made daily and serve with a creative way, we speake English fluently. Cheers
Though we saw a lot of people coming in for take out, you can certainly eat in here. It is a small place and a little bit tricky to find-thank goodness for GPS- and parking may be an issue in a crowded busy city like Le Mans but it proved to be an appropriate lunch stop on the way to Chartres from Mont St. Michel. The food is fresh, tasty, and there are plenty of choices for vegetarian and meat eaters. The owner is very nice and friendly and service was very efficient. They work hard here and you get a very very good meal for a very reasonable price. If your in Le Mans or traveling in between the Paris region and Normandy, this is a perfectly good place to get a decent meal at a very decent price, but do allow time for parking- my understanding is that the restaurant is in a pedestrian zone only so you'll have to park outside of that zone.

So after a tremendous meal the night before we booked and came here. Again the food is simply superb, there is nothing you fault. The two restaurants next door to one another offer the best dinning you can get in Le Mans. Donât go anywhere else.

We arrived in Le Mans on a Sunday evening when most of the restaurants were closed, this restaurant was recommended by our hotel and opens seven days a week both at lunchtime and in the evening. The food was excellent, surroundings modern but tasteful and the service good and friendly.

The decor is very sophisticated. The service is impeccable and the food to die for. Everything about this place is fabulous. Certainly on a par with Michelin rosetted London restaurants. Highly recommended. Reservations also recommended to avoid disappointment. If you re a foody make this an essential part of your visit to Le Mans.

Although we had not made a reservation, we were welcomed by very friendly staff. On offer was a 3 course menu of the day which was perfectly to our taste. The quality and presentation of the plates was very nice and tasty. In general the prices looked very reasonable to us. This restaurant is certainly worth a visit, we would go there again.

We had an excellent meal here! The carpaccio and cheese starter was delicious. I had the chicken in white wine and mushroom sauce, with an amazing mushroom mash. My husband had the duck and it was cooked beautifully. Reasonably priced and good wine, what more could you ask for!

A group of us dined here on Friday evening. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. Sadly the same can not be said for two of the staff , the two senior staff in charge of the Restaurant were appallingly rude and arrogant and ruined what should have been a wonderful evening. Also it is time they attended to a little cleaning as the mirror I was facing was filthy , covered in insect droppings, not a good look when dining in such an establishment.Hello, i am sorry that you have found my two managers "arrogant" however i can not beleeve it, both of the them have an avarage of 25 years in this trade and since they work with us i have never had any negatif remarks. conserning the insect droppings, i can agree to a certain level but the most important when you are in the country side is that you don't have flies in your palte . . . I wonder what insect sting you . . .Please check other comments on trip advisor or la fourchette to see what really goes on in my restaurantMrs Robert General Manageress

Everything was presented beautifully and cooked perfectly. I appreciated that the chef managed to blend risk taking and traditional French cuisine. The spider crab dish was a star; however, I continue thinking about the sear on the endive accompanying the scallop (and the other side elements of that dish which managed to demonstrate a subdued balance/restraint despite numerous elements).Bravo chef. I would be curious what the place is like with Warner weather because the "gem" of the atmosphere appears to be the outside area in the front.

The best thing about this Italian restaurant is that it goes beyond the pizza/pasta concept that we normally associate with italian food and provides a great and good selection of "assiette" (I'll have to use the french term that defines a whole sort of delicacies (ham and cheese) and veggies), that go really well with the wine served. Really relaxed and nice/cozy environment.
