I was staying locally on business. This was the second restaurant we tried in Akaslompolo. The first restaurant had been recommended locally but had been a disappointment. The food at Humina was excellent. We had the 4 course buffet meal. There were lots of dishes to choose from. All the food was tasty, well prepared and hot food nicely cooked. The variety of fish served was amazing. Although I usually drink beer we decided to try the wine. Not being too sure on what to choose I asked for advice and spoke to a member of staff who turned out to be the owner, and with his friendly advice we had some very nice red. Staff were helpful and friendly too. We had an excellent meal and I will visit again. Would recommend this restaurant.

Very good pizza! Maby not the cheapest, but happy to pay for for fresh ingredients. Very many options with reindeer meet and many pizzas with surprising combos of different fillings. Nice service.

On this occasion, we visited the Christmas Eve buffet, although we have been here a few times on previous trips. The buffet was incredible, very varied, and so many local options. Too many to list, picture attached for reference. We did seems to be one of the few tourist tables, which for me is a positive, and the staff even humoured my Finnish, although they understood English very well.On previous visits we have eaten 'regular' evening meals as opposed to buffet, and were very impressed with the meals, service and selection of drinks/wines to match your meal choice. Not the cheapest ravintola in town, but for us, it has always been well worth it.

Restaurant has nice atmosphere and service is very friendly. Menu has no big surprises, but for local Lapland specialities this is a very good choice (ofcourse especially reindeer as their name suggests... Poro means reindeer in finnish...)
An old building turned into a café with reindeer soup, hot and cold drinks, and a very nice atmosphere. It is right where cross-country skiing starts in Ylläsjärvi and it's just beautiful all around. Highly recommend !
Easy lunch and after-ski choice during ski day - restaurant is just by the main ski lift base station. Service is friendly and place has nice fireplace for warming up. Menu is basic - pizza's, pasta's, burgers, chicken wings and nachos etc... But everything was ok, as long as you don't expect anything special.
This is a rather simple place that serves mostly burgers. Lots of locals and some folks who are on snow scooter safari. Close to the supermarket and gasstation. We chose the cheapest burger (9 euro something, which is cheap in Lapland) and it was delicious! Very juicy. Fast service. Not many choices for drinks (tea, coffee, some sodas, berry juice) but it's OK. My boyfriend wanted to go back the next day but it was a bit far from Levi (about 45 min drive).

Buffet lunch, reindeer meat made ââGoulash. Incl. The beginning of salad, bread, beverage and coffee, 11 to 15.00 Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun 12 to 15.00. The most successful and praised our products is Saamelaisleivasta of "cone", which filled with reindeer burning
Had fondue dinner with family and some friends. We started with cheese and continued with beef and reindeer. All was very good and the wine list still decently priced. Sweets were good but downgraded on quality from our past visit last year, that took the last point away this time.Thank you and welcome agains!

Cozy and comfortable restaurant, simple but good food with nice service and pleasant ambience.
We were there last week. We ordered chicken pie and reindeer fajitas. The fajita vegetables that were mentioned in the menu were not available. The pie was served with no chicken in it. We asked the waiter to replace it. After waiting, they served us the pie with processed chicken. It seems that they didn't have chicken either. It was a very disappointing experience and a waste of money.

Saaga hotel very cosy and friendly. Didn't use the spa facilities as spare time was spent sledging. Could step outside hotel room patio door and go sledging with one of the hotel provided sledges. Snow quality for skiing was fabulous. Not the longest ski runs or the most, but not a problem given that ski lift queues were 10 people at the busiest, and we were there in their busiest week!Fabulous holiday, with huskey sled rides and reindeer farm visit as well as the skiing.
