Really good food with a local twist. The Venison was absolutely outstanding. Nice White Asparagus choices as we went during the season (goes from end of April to June). Desserts were well made, service was very friendly. Very good wine list with local choices. Nice décor as well, rustic yet refined. Will definitely be back

We had lunch here after exploring the beautiful spa town of Bad Homburg. Fantastic food to a German menu, I chose schnitzel. Perfectly prepared and cooked with a tasty sauce, and beautifully served. The icing on the cake was that the beer brewery is INSIDE the restaurant, you can't get more local than that! Wonderfully tasty beer to match the food.

We live here in Flonheim for the last year; and anytime we have guests, we bring them here! From the first time having lunch over a year ago while we were moving to town...the food has always tasted great with excellent presentation. This is a small location right in the heart of town, next to the church; I would say this is the only draw back--not enough seating for such excellent tasting food. Everything we have tried has been awesome, from Pumpkin (Kurbis soup) to wonderfully fresh local vegetables, and the meat is so flavorful! If you have a large group, or really want to make sure to have a table--call ahead and make a reservation!

This was one of the best dining experiences in a long time. The food was exceptionally well prepared and the Chef personally came to the table to prepare one of the dishes. We were a party of four and each had something different and everything was outstanding.

Had dinner once in this place , & I loved it. Authentic Italian cuisine. Have both indoor & outdoor seating arrangements. Decent place for dinner & reasonable pricing.

Occasionally you come across one of those places you just hope to forget as soon as possible. Before forgetting this one, however, I'd like to do my service towards other traveller-diners. The hotel part of Sörgenloch "castle" is located in a modern wing to the old restaurant main building and is decent by style and comfort. If yo are looking for romance, you're in the wrong place, but it works for a business traveller. The restaurant, however, is a disaster. It appears to be run by a bunch of locals who enjoy hanging out with their friends. At our stay, we were totally ignored for quite a while before we could order. The wait wait was in excess of an hour and the staff did just not seem to be ashamed. They were having a good time with what appeared to be a bunch of local buddies. I am attaching a picture of what one of us finally received from the kitchen - fine Rhinehessen cuisine at its best. Sörgenloch village is a tiny place without dinner alternatives. Germany is full of nice genuine restaurants with local specialities and friendly, prompt service. And then there are the occasional disasters such as this establishment. There are probably people who have enjoyed a good meal here - but one of the expectatations of a hotel is to have a high minimum level of quality, even when things go wrong. To be fair, the one positive observation at this place was a nice wine list with local offerings. Sadly, it doesn't make up for the abyss you can expect from the kitchen.

Gourmet dining, beautiful interior, excellent service, local "hide-away"! Something pretty special - just across the street from Hotel Becker.

First off: Stellwerk is excellent. It's run by people who know food, know how to cook and know how to present. It's architecturally stunning and it's exactly what the region needs. It's just that the distractions make me think "Why didn't I REALLY enjoy it?" I wanted to give it a "Good" rating, but Trip Advisor doesn't let you do that. It's certainly better than "Average", but the dining experience wasn't "Very Good".The distractions: We experienced a constant stream of wait staff, none of whom appeared to have noticed that someone else on the team had JUST asked us if everything was OK.The amuse bouche was still trying to find space on the crowded table (it's REALLY crowded and the menus are HUGE and HEAVY) when the first course arrived. What do you do - let it go cold or enjoy the flavoured butter and excellent looking bread. Sloppy stuff. Super friendly, but we felt as if they'd sold the table for a party arriving an hour later and they wanted us gone. The tableware stands out - it's not run of themill gastronomy stuff, but the oval swooping plates are a ski jump for cutlery. It's not fit for purpose. Put down your knife for a second and it's in your lap. And it's not just me. The open wines are a bit of a problem if you don'tr much care for Burgundy - chardonnay, pinot gris, pinot blanc plus an undefined cuvee. That's it. Their online wine list has a dry silvaner and a dry riesling - exactly what we were looking for as an accompaniment for food and what we were expecting.I'd like to see some regional beers on the menu - bog standard generic stuff doesn't do the job in a restaurant celebrating fresh ingredients and regional cuisine. Rheinhessen and Mainz have enough craft breweries producing a wide range of excellent beers.Get that sort of stuff sorted and you'll get 5 stars from me every time.

In our experience, Mundart rates as one of the top 3 restaurants in Rheinhessen. If visiting this region then Mundart belongs on your itinerary. From a warm, friendly welcome through to settling the bill, everything is first class. The ground floor dining area is modern and well lit. The"wine cellar" dining area is more romantic; arched ceilings and subdued lighting. This restaurant is small and exclusive. Reservations are recommended although, at the beginning of the week, it is possible to walk in and be be offered a table. The menu is small but sufficient to provide a variable choice and two set menus are offered (3 courses) Meals are a treat for both the eyes and the stomach. The wine list offers a large selection of good quality, reasonably priced wines from the immediate surrounding area.Highly recommended
