This is how our server greeted us. If you are looking for a good spaghetti in the area, this place is an icon. If you don't like spaghetti, well, pick a different place. Even on a week night, the place was full. You *must* have the spaghetti Bolognese, which is THE classic. Watch out, this place is everything but fancy, but the spaghetti was good and worth a small detour. Note a small detail, the place only accepts cash.

More and more top restaurants offer vegetarian courses on their menu card, but 't Stoveke is exceptional in offering a complete vegetarian menu option in its own right. This signals that vegetarian courses are not just optional at 't Stoveke, but a full vegetarian meal combination of 4-5 curses in its own right. I was very impressed by the creativity, the flavours and variety of our meal. On top of it, the restaurant is small, with tables well spaced apart and the service very friendly. This was without a doubt my best vegetarian restaurant meal in Belgium ever. I will go back

still a nice place to have lunch. Private parking and friendly staff. We had the very reasonably priced 4 course lunch. Small appetizers came before correct clams and king crab with rich risotto. A niece piece of fish before ending with a (set) cheese platter. Elaborate winelist.

Pure filet's dining room is small, modern-cosy-sober. Small black classic tables with large ocher faux strawl armchairs, black hanging industrial lamps with large bulbs emit a cosy orange light. Door and window frames are coated in dark opaque colors. Both muntin window give some extra-cosiness to the room and cut you completely from the busy street. The modern decoration is completely with a horse, a taurus and a bambi head made from black iron parallel bars. Acousticly it isn't great though. Additional trump is the existance of an outside option behind the restaurant. The menu offers a selection of grilled meat options as well as several fish options. I couldn't find the veggie option stated on their website but I might have overlooked it. Meat & fishes are charcoal grilled which allows for the purest taste. A selection of sauces for the meets is avaialble. I was surprised by the depth and richness of my favourite, yet so often disapointing, sauce : peppercreamsauce. The steak I have ordered has always been tender and good quality however it's a gamble as sometimes it commes overcooked. It's possible to opt for delicious charcoal grilled vegetables instead of the traditional salad served with meet in Flanders; and there is also choice between fries, potatoe croquettes and a jacqued potatoe. When compared to the quality of food the service falls short. On week days there is also a lunch menu composed of soup and a dish for 20 euros. Tuesday is pork, wednesday past, thursday chicken or steak and friday fish. When it was suggested by the server during my last visit he couldn't provide me with any further details; eaven after asking in the kitchen the response was limited to "salmon & cod" and "vegetable soup". The soup turned out to be leek soup & the delish fish duo to be accompanied with mashed potatoes, spinash, leeks and shrimps. I also spotted the waiter take something out of a draft beer with his finger and serve it straight after that. A bit later, clients were heading towards the outside garden and he yelled after them so he could already take their drinks order thought they were not yet seated. It's unfortunate the service is quite slow even when there isn't that much people.Anyway, the food is definitely worth a visit :)

New place (according to my friend) serving bistro food in modern setting. Somewhat 'cold' atmosphere. Ok tuna.

good food, good wine list, good quick service, but nothing 'special' , not a charming environment, rather 'cold' interior.

Wemmel is not a place you want to be; you're here visiting Brussels expo or Heysel stadium. Luckily for you there's a family run restaurant with a simple menu, everything done well. Salmon cooked perfectly, good selection of desserts, fair prices.Go once, go again, you'll like it here.

The food here is fine dining and therefore the prices reflect this, however the prices are still very affordable compared to other restaurants in this fine dining category. The service was impeccable - our wine glasses were regulary refilled and the water topped up. Nothing was too difficult and the waiters were very friendly even under pressure. Our group ate from the set menus on offer, of which there are 4 to choose from - all amazingly great value. We ate from the duck set menu and the lobster set menu. The duck pate (see pic) was smooth and lovely with a heavier than mousse texture for robust taste, also pleasantly presented. The duck breast (see pic) was the BEST DUCK I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! Cooked to absolute perfection with a crispy coating and meat the best colour, texture and taste you'll ever experience with duck. The only down side was that it came with potato croquettes, which remind me of TV dinners as a child when mother is too tired to cook. I would have preferred roasted potatoes. The lobster dinner starter was baby lobster in curry sauce (see pic), which was divine - creamy and just enough hint of flavour. The main was a whole baby lobster (see pic) of which the meat was thick and flavourful. For dessert we had cake which was like a sweet angel putting heaven in my mouth - multi layers of chocolate, smooth vanilla mousse and soft sponge. Coffee was wonderful too. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date and also group celebrations.

It had been quite a while since I last came here to now discover the tapas lunch special now available in a more elaborate dinner setting. Good ingredients, mastery in the kitchen and friendly & efficient multilingual service make this one of the better restaurants immediately north of Brussels.

Following a work colleague recomendation, a group of eight wen't to dinner at the In't Spinnekopke. Very good choice. The carbonnada was the choice of the majority; I've went for the filet mignon du porc which stood up, and exceeded, the expectations of those who tried a small bite. Good deserts to close the night. The Estaminet is quite comfortable, the light adequated to create the proper mood (not to dark) and the service quite attentive a nice. Recommended thoroughly.
