The history of the Residenz-Cafe: The Residenz-Cafe has an over 160-year-old tradition in Weimar. This makes it the oldest remaining coffeehouse of Weimar. Although the history of coffeehouses in Weimar began 100 years prior to its founding, the history o
Pretty solid breakfast for reasonable money. Nice athmosphere not only in the morning.....you should try to avoid high season because it is packed with tourists..... Make a reservation or be just lucky. Would recommend it for breakfast and drinks in evening. Food for dinner is ok but there are better places on Weimar to have dinner.

Quick meal. Great service and interesting menu. I had never had Kangaroo meat before and wasn't expecting it on a menu in German (slightly strong beef). Staff were cheerful and the home made pasta was tasty.

The Erbenhof in Weimar combines regional cuisine , a bit different than usual , with the peculiarities of cooking in an elegant but leisurely ambience. The selection of our recipes based on the traditional thuringian cuisine. Our meals are prepared from fr
They do their best to prepare the meat well. However, we'd like to see some more vegetables and less meat on the dish - our ecological footprint!). Well presented, but not fine.

We are there fairly late after a concert. They were happy to serve ( other local places had closed kitchens) and will serve until late. The main food on offer is typical local food, variations on different meats with red cabbage/ sauerkraut and dumplings. Good beer as you would expect. Generous portions . Rustic atmosphere. Just what we wanted!

Restaurant AnnA is an urban-casual and stylish restaurant that stands for very authentic, uncomplicated kitchen that plays with fresh regional products and influences from all over the world. Chef de cuisine Johannes Wallner and Maître d'hôtel & sommelier
I generally don't like writing negative reviews, but this restaurant was a disappointment. It started off great, delicious breads and amuses, and a fabulous starter of langoustine tartaar and pumpkin with tomato sorbet. But from then onwards it was all downhill. The dorado was dry, the duck was overcooked and tasteless, the 3 variations of parmesan was just plain weird and nasty, and the dessert just ok. The waiter was great. But the sommelier was very unfriendly, gave no explanations, and the wine pairings were unmemorable. Such a disappointment, especially for a Michelin star restaurant!Dear NancyvaL,Thank you for your feedback! It's very regrettable that we couldn't meet your expectations. Usually our guests praise the performance of the Anna Amalia kitchen and service team, therefore it's really a pitty because your experience at the restaurant does not correspond to our high standards. It'll be a pleasure for us to convince you on a furture occasion. We're looking forward to see you again in Weimar!

I had not expected to be so amazed by this little restaurent. Between old bottle, paintings from around weimar and the un countable tee pots lies a ambiance unique. I had superb meal, traditional food done perfectly. The service vas AWSOME. The owner has this garlic liquor that he makes himself that is really good. I recommend it if you want to eat a good home meal. I will definitely go back as soon as I can.

This is one of my familyâs favourite restaurants in Weimar. Quality of the mainly Thüringen-based dishes is consistently good, the service usually good, though sometimes a bit slow. So if you are looking for an authentic down-to-earth place to try Thüringer Kloesse dumplings or something else from the region, check this place out. Do not expect high-level cuisine and service, though. I do advise to book a table in advance and not to shy away from the hilarious dumpling-offering doll outside...

We were here for getting our desserts, enjoyed this authentic frensh creperie, delicious choices of crepes and drinks; would go here any time again, staff was friendly and managed our rather bigger group

The place is run by a couple who give personal attention to each and every customer. The food is meticulously prepared and presented, care taken for every detail. The taste matches the ritual. Take your time to enjoy, the food deserves it.They also serve and sell their own made liqueurs, do not miss that, particularly "Tango Mango".We were lucky to get a table, did call just before the visit. You should not take chances, so book ahead.
