J'adore le demi-poulet rôti avec les pommes de terre, sans parler des pasteis de nata....Un bon conseil, pensez à réserver et prendre votre mal en patience pour retirer votre commande mais cela se mérite !Bon appétit

We were staying at the Logis hotel opposite and read the reviews for the restaurant which were really good. Fortunately they had space for the 4 of us and it was as good as it's reviews. The location is non-descript outside but nicely decorated inside in traditional french style. The menu choices were slightly limited to two fixed menus. Our children are now grown up (19 & 23) and were happy to try new types of food. When they were younger we mighty have struggled to find food they would eat here. The food though was excellent. Good traditional french food, well cooked and well presented. Good wine list including many local wines. If you are in the area it's worth a trip here.

Original menu, half of it are original salled plades. Great Grande Dessert. Informal atmosphere and informal setting. Cost below 25 euro per person.

Nice bar/restaurant convenient to a motorway hotel I stayed at. Named for its large zinc bar, I believe.I was warmly welcomed and offered a table. The menu is one of those folded laminated cards, which appears to offer the same meat-heavy options in several forms so actually is not that varied. I suspect most people have pizzas. Not inexpensive - a (very good) burger (with chips, etc.) was â¬15. Service was quick and efficient. I was in and out in under an hour. They use an iPad-type ordering system, which no doubt speeds things up. I didn't feel hurried at all - it just all went smoothly.

This restaurant opened up a few months ago, and the owners - a couple - are giving a new breath to the local cuisine. Its welcoming staff and simple decor keeps it relaxed. The menu offers a touch of gastronomy without being pretentious, the prices are right..and the food is creative and pleasant..Hi Colon33, We thank you for your comment and are delighted that our cuisine pleased you. :)Looking forward to see you again.

Even though we had booked our table via internet two weeks before and had received confirmation , our" host " had no information on us and we were squeezed into the back room. The meal was served with little enthusiasm which confirmed what we were about to eat. My French wife described laTruffade as"Truffade trop fade" most probably prepared the previous day. " bref, réchauffé! " My wife added. La tête de veau was served cold on a cold plate. Pity, as the dish could've been good. The veg was woefully undercooked and we decided not to risk a dessert.

The place to be since 50 years....
Looking for a decent place to eat on a Sunday evening we were recommended this place. We didn't regret! Weather was unfortunately not part of game. We seated inside not too close to the piano which was played on Sunday. The toilets where clean and we where accompanied by a soundtrack of whistling birds. This for the atmosphere. Food was fine and surprising. It was not always clear what we were eating but it tasted refined with local ingredients like 'lentilles vertes' It was a nice place to end our trip. About budget: not for every day but absolutely recommended for special occasions. Thanks for this!Thank you very much for your comment, all the equip is great for it, hope to receive you another time, best regards

We chose to have a celebratory lunch here earlier this week and were really pleased with the choice. Although a lovely round table had been set for us inside in the stylish dining-room, we asked if we could move to the outdoor terrace area, where a table was promptly laid for us.The menu choice was excellent, ranging from 29 euros for a basic no-options meal , up through 39 and 49 to 57 at the top end, offering a delicious range of dishes. The wine list was broad in quality as well as price, offering something for everyone.Service from the owners was outstanding and sensitive, although one of the younger waiting staff was a bit clueless.Unusually for France we were allowed to carry on sitting and eating from 1pm, when we arrived, until nearly 5pm. We paid 60 euros/head for the 39 euro menu plus two bottles of wine, 6 of water, aperitifs and coffee: excellent value overall. To be recommended. NB Not in the centre of Riom, so you need a car.
