Find out what European restaurants to try in Volgograd. Known as Stalingrad during much of the Soviet era, Volgograd is now an important industrial city of just over a million people. During World War II, the hill of Mamayev Kurgan was one of the bloodiest locales of the Battle of Stalingrad (the deadliest battle in history, claiming a million and a half lives), and is now the site of a memorial complex. The Panorama Museum, named for the massive Battle of Stalingrad panoramic painting it houses, is another of the city’s most popular attractions.

Marusya is a Russian restaurant not that much far away from the river of Volga, just above a little hill from where - under the comfort of a patio (during the summer) - you can enjoy both the wind and the see followed by the good food served in an authentic European style.I did enjoy every single moment in my staying. Very recommended.Particularly notable the kitchen with a front view in the dinner area, where you can see your pilmeni being prepared.

RIMINI is a network of Italian trattorias for business meetings, family celebrations with excellent cuisine in Italy!
We've visited this restaurant several times with my husband, and everything we've ordered we enjoyed! We're Muslims, so seafood pastas, pizzas, ceasar salad, desserts were among the things we've ordered (we didn't try any meat meals). Services was mostly nice and stuff was friendly, cooking time is not long. All my Volgograd friends recommend this place for dinner and I thank them for a the opportunity to discover a nice restaurant

I went to this restaurant twice and was impressed with the food on both occasions. There is a good variety of things to choose, and everything is tasty and well-presented. Many of the dishes are made with ingredients coming from their own farm. Try the rabbit pelmeni - among the best I've had. Selecting the dinks is more difficult - the only thing you can get by the glass is OK'ish house wine, and there are only a couple of types of beer on offer. This is definitely a food place, not a drinks place. The room is very good and well-designed. The only thing is, the restaurant is not in the city centre, but across the ravine from the Centre district (10 min by metro/tram). However, if you are staying in one of many hotels in the area, this is certainly a place to keep in mind. ...as I said, I came twice.

I went to this restaurant with my Russian colleagues because they recommended it a 'quite good Italian food'.... It was an understatement. The food is EXcellent, the service is nice and friendly, the prices -as well wine as food- are VERY acceptable.... So when I opened my Tripadvisor to write my appreciation , I was not all surprised to find it to be on Nr.1 resto in Volgograd..... A place to go back every time I'll be in Volgograd....

Where to eat Steakhouse food in Volgograd: The Best Restaurants and Bars

The brand new Volgograd restaurant with great service. We heard a lot of good reviews about these restaurants in Moscow and were surprised they opened here. The restaurant was quite full during the Christmas holidays and we decided to go later in January. Our expectations confirmed. This a mix of sea food and steak house restaurant with good atmosphere and high level of service. Great choice of dishes and wines. In restaurant work sommeliers and waiters who come to the table to offer wine and to help with decision on the menu choice. We ordered couple of steaks with grilled vegetables, calmary salads, cocktail and the mulled wine to get warm in the cold Stalingrad winter. In the end we recieved a bonus from the waiter - 4 tasty chocolates from local chocolatier. They were delicious as well. I can highly recommend this place for the dinner in Volgograd.
