I ate here as part of a group of over 20. We had two tables that were actually in separate parts of the restaurant - just about in sight of each other.I have always been somewhat conservative in my tastes, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the combinations of flavours and textures in the meal that we were served. We had a standard meal for the whole group so I did not actually see the regular menu.We were also served very good white and red wines with our meal.

Our first meal on this trip to France and a very good choice! We were staying in the Best Western and decided to give the on-site restaurant a try. Both meals were cooked to perfection, one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Prices were not too bad by French standards!

I'm not sure quite how many non-French people pass through the village of Frontonas, but if you do (perhaps because you're visiting some of the tech companies in Isle d'Abeau), take your car or a taxi out to the Auberge du Ru to have the chance to eat in a very measured and enjoyable manner. Our group had an excellent experience. Service was friendly and warm (good English for those who fear having to negotiate a menu in French), excellent advice about wine (the owner clearly knows his stuff - we were more than happy to accept his recommendation about suitable glasses of local wine to accompany each course), and best of all, good food. Excellent pork rilettes to start, tasty chicken stuffed with local mushrooms as a main, and a fine selection of cheese to finish. The chocolate desserts were also tasty. Everything cost EUR55 a head (menu, three glasses of wine each, sparkling water). Great value for a great meal.

We went here for a simple lunch on the way to the airport. The service was attentive and the food was well-prepared and of good quality. Prices start from about â¬14 for a 2 course set menu lunch but the main course is a grilled meat or fish plus a choice of carbohydrate, so you may wish to order a side salad. I didn't notice any vegetarian dishes on the set menus, but they might have them on the à la carte menu. It's mostly a steak house.Helo Miss,Thank you for your post.If you want a special dish, it's very easy. You can ask to me, and if it's possible, we make it.See you next time.Olivier and his team.

Travelling around France for business, imagine arriving at our hotel in an industrial zonning at night, expecting not much better then having dinner in a " Courte Paille" and finding next to the hotel a true gastronomic restaurant ( the cuisine is made by a 2 stars chef ) and to be welcomed by the bubbly lady owner who is a real hospitality professionnal. There the food is made only with fresh products and it shows. No industrial cuisine like in so many restaurants nowadays. I recommend the menus which are innovative and delicious, yet at very affordable prices. The wine selection is great and affordable too. Friendly atmosphere in a simple setting with incredible quality food. We liked it so much that we decided to go there for lunch the next day eventhough we were in a hurry.

Good restaurant, helpful staff, but we were not so impressed with the good. You can have a menu (starter, main course, desert) for 25 euro.

The small restaurant is really a nice place to have a relaxing wonderful menu. The restaurant offers you the choice between 2 menu's (36 or 52 euros) and both are good or even better superb. Take also the cheese! The choice you have is what I should call outstanding. So make some time in your agenda and go and find that spot to have an enjoyable evening

Nous y sommes allé un vendredi soir. Peu dâaffluence donc un service aux petits soins. La carte est variée et équilibrée. On sent que le chef maîtrise son métier, de par le choix des produits et la qualité de la cuisine. Une adresse à recommander !

France is especially wonderful in placing superb restaurants in the middle of nowhere. Well, to be fair, it is not nowhere, but a pleasant pastoral setting. There is extraordinary detail in the placement of flowers, shrubs, plants, big bay windows-and a lovely patio next to a very ancient tree. This is fine dining at a fairly high price point. If you can foot the tab, you will find it a very pleasant place. There is a very large young staff that make up for finesse with earnestness. The chef is out and about making sure all is running well. I am mindful that we just paid twice as much for a Sunday lunch as we did for a Saturday Dinner in Romans. In music, sports, and professions, as you go up the pyramid, the views are more sensational, the style the more subtle and the price rises. There is some sensational cooking here if you can afford it.A rather extensive wine list allows one to indulge in a wide range of fine wines, especially from Burgundy and the Cote du Rhone-but don't expect any bargains. There is creativity, quality and finesse here-all in very pleasant surroundings. If you want a memorable day in the country, away from Lyon, and near its airport, keep this address in mind.
