Ok, this place might be out of your way, but make sure you donât miss it if you are in Portugal. A bit over one hour drive from Lisbon, in the Alentejo coast where you have the best beaches of the country, you will find this treasure. The place itself is so cool that you feel extremely comfortable from the minute you get in. The staff is welcoming and helpful and the food is just brilliant. We went with our 2 toddlers and we had plenty of healthy options for them. But more than healthy, the food is so delicious. We had the brunch, and I canât name my favorite thing about it. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the avocado toast was the best I ever had, the pancakes delicious. My husband had a burger and it was all he could talk about. The fruit juices are so creative, we tried 3 different ones and it seems every combination is so perfect. Honestly, I canât get over our delicious meal. Thank you Ginger Cafe, we will be back.
Nice space with light, some traditional Portuguese meals and Tapas, we have nice Burguers and toasties, and wines from North of Portugal to South. Come and enjoy our terrace
Um excelente lugar para um petisco com uma tabua de queijos e enchidos muito bem servida e umas sobremesas muito boas e um atendimento muito simpático.
Clean, bright, neat & charming. The staff are exactly that too. What a cafe should be. The coffee & cakes are excellent. Well done. You should be proud of what youâve achieved. Highly recommended.

Near of the Costa Alentejana, the Quinta do Giz's Restaurant provides a unique experience for all the costumers. With us, you can taste the best flavors of the sea (Cataplana de Marisco or Tamboril, Caldeirada de Peixe or Enguias, Ensopado de Enguias, Arr
Everything was delicious. Great seafood!Service was excellent and fun! Will repeat for sure! Totally would recommend this place! Loved it!
Traditional specialty restaurant are eels and charcoal grills.
It has to be said that this is a tasca, not a restaurant. They have really good grilled pork, we had âlagartosâ (one of the best Iâve ever had) and âcachaçoâ also well done. Bread and olives were really good. Now do not expect much from the French fries, they were oily, and the salad, normal Portuguese. The owners, are not able to attend more than three or four tables at the same time. When somebody arrives after that number of tables, they will tell you that you will have to wait for long. She was running in and out and some customers decided to go and grab the beverages from the refrigerator so they didnât have to wait more. It can be an authentic Alentejoâs not fancy experience if you wish to know Portugal for real.

Homemade, typical, regional meals
I was here with my girlfriend for the second time and like the first time this little familiar restaurant is just a pleasure to be. The lovely family which runs this restaurant (i think it's the grandmama who's cooking the great meals in the tiny kitchen) always welcomes us in a very warmly and authentic manner. Besides that, i think honestly that the food they serve is just amazing. The combination of traditional cooking (which reminds me from time to time at my own portuguese grandmama when cooking) and the unice alentejano style is a great experience - especially the black pig (porco preto) is a masterpiece in my opinion. In a nutshell:If you are around, i definitely recommend to take a step into this little insider and enjoy the special authentic service and really overwhelming food!!!Obrigado pela atenção e avaliação... Respondo em português porque sei que percebe, simplesmente fantástico receber pessoas bem dispostas e com grande simpatiaGrande abraço e muito obrigado

I realised when visiting this restaurant that I have never tasted suckling pig before - it was absolutely delicious! Simply served with hand made potato crisps and salad, this meal was one of the tastiest I had on holiday in Portugal. Ate here as part of a weeks riding holiday with Raides Vicentinos - Riding holidays in Portugal which I can well recommend.

We are traveling in Portugal for more than 2 months and this was the best meal we had, in our terms it means: best value for money, big portions, rustic atmosphere, meals done to perfection (so juicy and delicious) and great service, what else can you ask for?We don't usually like crowded places (so expect that when arriving) but it was so worth it! most people there were local, we ordered the mixed black pork (wow!!!) and the grilled dourada (wow2!!!) and couldn't be happier with our choices. the meals are huge so bare that in mind when ordering, the mixed black pork could easily feed 2 people.Anyway, if you're in the area - just go there :)
