This was the best meal and service we received in entire Azore's.The server was excellent, she was very pleasant and even asked us how if we were enjoying our meal, a rare occurrence in the Azore's.I ordered the rump steak which was very very good. The wife had the codfish in garlic butter and it also was excellent.Total bil including 6 beers was 29 Euro.
A few minutes from Vila do Porto, in the parish of São Pedro, with the green of Nature by company, is located the ROSA ALTA Restaurant, which has a large room, where the view and light enter through the window panes inviting you to a quiet meal in the cou

This is a simple place with no fancy stuff just wonderful food and service. Every meal over five days was excellent. Meat was from Santa Maria and it was tender, tasty and perfectly cooked and presented. The variety of fish was equally excellent. But for me the best thing in the place was the soup.....a new one every day and one was better than the other. I can say that I have eaten in one of the best restaurants in the world. I would love to return just for the soup!

Came here recently for lunch with my wife and another coupe, and really enjoyed it. The setting was absolutely great (over the ocean pools), and the staff was equally great (very friendly indeed). The food was good as well (chicken wings as an entrée, and then we all had the daily special). Overall, a nice experience.

Restaurant with pleasant terrace, with a superb view over the spectacular Marina of Vila do Porto. Restaurant with fresh Atlantic fish and good seafood. Enjoy our decoration! An ideal place for a sunset on our terrace with the flavors of our delicious sna
Clube Naval was recommended by staff at our hotel and we were glad it was. This was the very best meal we had on both Santa Maria and São Miguel. Portions were generous and delicious, service was excellent and location was gorgeous. We would have eaten there both nights on the island but couldnât get a table on the first night. After our experience, the restaurantâs popularity makes perfect sense. Itâs a must visit for anyone in Santa Maria - make a reservation and go!

Located in one of the most beautiful bays of the Azores, Ponta Negra Restaurant offers a unique space to enjoy the great natural beauty that surrounds it. The terrace is framed by the hillsides full of vineyards and turquoise waters of the Sao Lourenco ba
Perfect spot for delicious freshly caught fish, we were recommended the Amberjack (first of the season and fresh in) by the owner and it was incredible! Lovely spot, eating in the sun, recently renovated and lovely owners! No doubt we would recommend.

Probably the most upmarket choice in Vila do Porto, this place offers a stylish interior and caters to tourists. We started with the fish soup, which was rather average, followed by the local pork and the beef dish. Both were excellent and went well with the Alentejo Red.

Not as small as imaginable but warm as needed . Favoring charcoal cooking simultaneously with an election wine cellar, brings out in every moment excellence and fine care in take-away and catering service.
This is not a tourist place, at least we were the only non-domestic tourists. The waitress did not speak English, but we managed with speaking Spanish and her replies in Portuguese. We had the bread/cheese/pé starter and then the swordfish and the squids. Especially the squids, which came with a sauce and potatoes (not really grilled as described), were delicious!Great value, too.

I love this Pub, I went twice with the same group of friends. The place belongs to an emigrant from Boston and all the decor reminds you of an American PUB: full of oak wood and bricks. The pizzas here are amazing. We ordered Hawaiian, House Special, and vegeterian. It was simply delicious and made with fresh ingredients. We also ordered clam chowder, grilled squid and the catch of the day. The fish was served with boiled potatos and side salad. Everything fresh and extremly flavourful. The staffs were attentive and provided great customer service. The playlist wasnt too bad either.Well Done!

The young owners of this lovely restaurant have done an incredible job creating a unique welcoming restaurant with lots of quirky decor. It is a lovely place to spend an evening with friends or family. It is very popular so make sure in summer you book well in advance!
