We went there in October to celebrate our anniversary and it was a very pleasant meal. We chose the tasting menu. The portions were a little big compared to tasting menus of other restaurants so we could not finish everything on our dish. We had a very good time. Dear suner_12,thank you for taking your time to review our restaurant VERANDA. We are happy that you enjoyed the food and service and that you spent a wonderful anniversary at our restaurant! We hope to welcome you again soon! With warm regards,Theresa Berger, Marketingand the VERANDA Team

We discovered this restaurant while walking and exploring the side streets of Vienna. Our style is to avoid the touristy over priced restaurants. This exceeded our expectations. Somehow I think food in Austria relies too much on deep fried cooking which this did not. On our 4 night stay in Vienna we ate there on 3 occasions - I think that says enough!Steak - excellent - Carpaccio - excellent - Tartar excellent - staff excellent - music excellent (particularly 6 tracks by Crowded House!). It is nice to find a restaurant that you feel genuinely welcomed and at ease in.To the staff - thanks for holding my wifes yellow pullover that was accidentally left there one night.A great spot.

My husband and I wanted to head somewhere less touristy and with good schnitzel. After reading the good reviews on trip advisor, we thought we'd head over for dinner, and we're glad we did! It's a lovely little traditional Austrian Gasthaus, and the service was very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel and my husband got the cordon bleu; the food was delicious and the portions were large. Moreover, for the quality and amount of food, the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Real Viennese restaurant serving traditional food and beer for locals and all who are hungry. Big portions and delicious home-made food in local prices, super nice owner - Carmen who runs the place and makes everyone feel at home. I found the place accidentally - just walking by being very hungry - I'm glad I've stepped in.

Although it was a Saturday night the restaurant was nearly empty which was a surprise. The owner was very friendly and helped us choose typical Austrian food and wine, some of which was very unusual but a great choice.Food was served very quickly and was very hot but there was no pressure to finish and leave so it was possible to enjoy a relaxed meal.Thank you ;-)Liebe GrüÃe Harald Gaunersdorfer

I went for an evening meal in Mini with a friend while on holiday in Vienna. We chose Mini as the reviews were very positive! On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant waiter. He was very helpful in recommending wine for our meal choices. The food was very tasty, there was a cozy atmosphere. However, my friend and I both felt the food was overpriced for what you get. We both ordered the salmon, which was divine but was only served with carrots and a poppadom. We did enjoy our meal, service was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy.

I went to Vienna with my spouse and loved the city. We chose this restaurant and it was a great decision. We asked a taxi driver if he recommended a restaurant with a nice ambience and he took us there. The food was delicious and the service was great. It really has a nice ambiance to it. I highly recommend this particular restaurant especially if you have a special occasion. I plan to go back to Vienna as I liked it so much and revisit the restaurant.

This is a fun place because the jolly proprietor seems to know most of the customers, and if you are new he will get to know you too, always with a glass of wine in hand. They have the usual Austrian schnitzel, goulasch, etc. but also some more creative dishes. We had two of these, a chicken and a lamb dish, and they were both excellent. The soup with cut pancakes was an excellent starter. The place is obviously very popular and was totally full when we were there - reservations are strongly advised.
