Read a review in a guidebook from the hosts of our Villa in Lorgues. Iâve visited several restaurants in the area based on these recommendations and always been impressed. In this age of T/A however.....you read reviews......I can only go out experience-the food, I donât think many reviews on T/A question the food-it is seriously good. The main critique seems to be the service and more importantly the rather stern MaitreâD or as I think more likely-owner. I think his nameIs Max-thatâs what was embroidered on his crisp white jacket. Anyhow, I can see how people can feel that he is rude but I would prefer to describe him as old school-he runs a tight ship. However, Max and his attitude was irrelevant on our visit-heâs obviously taken on board some of the critique and taken on a wonderfully pleasant assistant. I didnât get young ladies name but she was amazing. We came as a group of 5 adults and my daughters 8 month old son!!! You could almost see Maxâs toes curling....feat not though-his assistant had a high chair before we could blink and proceeded to fuss and feed baby-various titbits from the kitchen. Overall-amazing and one of the best dining experiences in a fair few years. Visit-you wonât be disappointed-you are therefor the food and location and I am sure Maxâs helper will make you feel more than welcome!!!

Nice crêperie un a spectacular medieval village. Home made food, organic food. Very good French food from Bretagne and Provence.
This restaurant which serves crepes and cider in on a patio overlooking a.quiet street in an ancient walled town offers a most pleasant dining experience at very modest prices. Well worth a stop for lunch

Brasserie with shaded and modern terrace where we offer a varied menu, fish, meats, pasta, pizzas, cocktails, beers etc ... The hamburg specialty of the house not to be missed looking forward to welcoming you
I have been in this region for nearly 20 years, but this was my first trip to Cafe De Paris in Les Arcs. With tables across the restaurant, in the park, it looked very tempting. The owner proved to be a fantastic host, very friendly and serviceminded. He even sat down with us for a nice chat! The food - we all chose hamburgers, was very good. Creative and very good taste. Not to mention the small cakes for desert! Oh la la :-)That particular day there was a great trio playing the most wonderful music. It was all just so perfect. A very remerable lunch. We came as strangers and left as friends and will surely be regular gusts!

The service at this village square cafe is good. There is plenty of choice in the square but this cafe serves a better menu than others. Sometimes closes early and unfortunately does not serve food every night. A nice sunny spot for morning coffee.

Wonderful lunch on the terrace under the canopy of the trees next to the water fountain on a clear sunny day. The food was terrific and not just for the truffles, as each dish was beautifully prepared with superb sauces. There were four menus to choose from and the difference essentially is the type of truffle. The black truffles are more expensive by about 45 euro per course, but they are just delicious. It would be an error of judgement to just go for the cheapest 78 euro menu. We opted to have one course with the black truffles and this overall menu was 125 euro each. There was also an option to switch some of the menu items with the ultimate extravanganza menu at 195 euro. We did this and it was a great idea. I changed the caviar belini for the foie gras in pastry. The foie gras with the truffles in pastry was simply delicious. Fortunately it wasn't a big serving but is was fantastic and the sauce was full of flavour. The highlight of the house is the truffle on a slice of potato. We opted for the more expensive black truffles for this dish and we were so pleased with the outcome. There was also a delicious creamy sauce. Doesn't sound exciting and words cannot describe how good it was. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was delicious.Next came the lobster. Again a terrific tasty sauce. The desserts were also very enjoyable, and the pre-dessert of a creme caramel with truffles I really enjoyed. We also noted other diners adding a pinch of salt to their dishes and we followed suit. Really brings out the flavour but go easy. I would ceretainly recommend going for the expensive black truffle option for the potato dish. Don't plan on doing anything for the rest of the day and maybe even the next day. We couldn't finish the caviar dish and the staff packed it up for us to take home. Same with the little dessert cakes. 330 euro for two with an inexpensive 80 euro chablis.Great experience.

Nous sommes un restaurant traditionnel, nous proposons des produits frais et de saison, tout est fait maison ! Homemade cooking! Welcome!!
We had a very nice dinner, I wasn't too hungry so choose the tuna fish starter salad. It was excellent with the fresh tuna cooked to perfection. My wifes fish was also perfectly cooked, one of the best she has had in France.

It was restaurant week in France with many restaurants participating in the 2 for 1 offer. This was one of the participating restaurants. We were given a table on the terrace as requested, and given the special menu for the offer. 4 starters, of which we would receive all 4 (2 of each), a choice of 4 main courses and 4 desserts, all for 35 Euros for both of us. Fantastic value. The food was superb - foie gras on toast with fig jam, chopped salmon and cucumber in a sauce in small glasses, thin smoked ham with shaved parmesan cheese, and pieces of cheesy pizza, all for starters. We oth had the beef fillet which cut like and dream and tasted just as good. Only very minor criticism, it wiuld have been nice ot have just a few vegetables, and less french fries.I had a gooey chocolate fondant, and my husband a gaspacho of pineapple with ice. All very very tasty. Good bottle of Brouilly, plus water, and we left feeling great. Would highly recommend this place.
