We went at lunchtime and really enjoyed the savoury crêpes - we even shared a sweet crêpe afterwards! Great value, fantastic choice and excellent, friendly service. A must-visit!

We are a high quality Pizzeria, using several product from the region, like hand made Hams and sausages from free running pigs . All the meat is comming from Bonzom, the most famous butcher in the region with his own animal production. The bred is Homemad
We were staying a few kms outside Villefranche and popped in on the way back early one evening. Being mid October, not everywhere was open but we chose the pizza cafe as it looked friendly and not too posh! Both of us had pizza's and I ended up finishing off both, as the missus couldn't finish hers! Good mixture of locals and tourists including a steady stream of locals picking up takeaways.Great music too... some nice 1970s' jazz rock which the chef/owner was obviously into as he was playing the occasional air bass guitar solos inbetween baking the pizzas! Thanks,

We enjoyed eating here on two occasions during our stay in Vernet. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the proprietor came into the restaurant on both evenings to inquire how we were enjoying our food. A nice touch we thought.Merci pour vos compliments que notre équipe apprécie à sa juste valeur. Nous serons heureux de vous accueillir lors d'un prochain repas.

A faultless meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary - a little glass of intense asparagus soup as an intro, then a 'tartelette fine' of smoked salmon and sweetbreads with polenta as starters followed by perfect steak Rossini (with a generous piece of foie gras on top) and a hunk of boneless rabbit stuffed with confit tomatoes and thyme. The plate of six tiny puddings we both opted for was the best we've had. Our bottle of Parcé Frères 100% Grenache from Collioure was everything the write up on the excellent wine list promised.Service was efficient, friendly and fun despite the staff having to cope with a full house.Total bill â¬133.50 including a cocktail, fizzy water and coffee. Not cheap but worth every centime. We've booked to go back with friends next Saturday.

Went in and received a warm welcome. Chose from the â¬23menu that gave a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts. All the food was based on regional recipes but with a twist. As it was the 1st of May, all the ladies received a Lilly of the Valley flower as is the tradition dating back to 1590.

I visited this friendly little restaurant twice in 5 days. On the first visit I chose the calamari from the specials menu, which was delicious. I haven't tasted calamari as tasty as that outside Greece! The second visit, I chose the Catalan lasagne - which was sublime. Spicy, but not hot & absolutely fantastic. The waiter on both nights was friendly & made me feel very welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant & saw families with small children on both nights I visited - so it's family friendly too.

We had a brochette of âmagnet de canardâ/apple quarters/red pepper, served from a hanging skewer (very original), accompanied with salad and fries. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Made the experience very unique.

THE MIRABELLE The warmest welcome from Olga and Richard! Why is LA MIRABELLE a different culinary experience? We could have retired long ago but we love food .We are passionate about every stage of the art of cooking, from sourcing the very best sustainab
We had eaten in Olga and Richard's previous restaurant in Canet, so knew something of what to expect when booking for the 6 course discovery menu. We were not disappointed! Every mouthful was a treat. Portions were just right to ensure value for money but not being left with that feeling of having eaten too much. The restaurant (and hotel) was not busy on the evening of our visit, so the service was very personal and homely. We all felt as though Olga was cooking especially for us and had chosen the fine ingredients specifically with us in mind. It is easy to see how Richard and Olga had a Michelin star in their London restaurant. It is absolutely essential to book ahead for this restaurant in a unique situation but it is more than worth the effort ... it was a gastronomic experience rather than just a meal.

Topped off by the best macaroon ever for dessert, the whole meal was lovingly and inventively prepared by Abu the senegalese chef.Combining elements of north african, mediterranean and french cooking, the lunch menu was a delight.Crispy filo parcels of spicy prawns ,a tender steak with a creamy mushroom sauce artfully presented with a trio of vegetables. The macaroon oozed caramel sauce and was accompanied by an apricot sorbet.22 euros was actually good value for the care and quality of the ingredients.Sitting outside in the sun was a bonus.

Small pretty bistrot type restaurant situated in the old part of Vernet with glorious views out over the valley and mountains and interior seating in an old stable for the colder months or inclement weather. Informal honest food with friendly service. Boo
Had a good meal here one evening. Food was of a good standard and surprisingly for France it had a good choice for vegetarians. Service was relaxed and unhurried. Only minor quibbles were the fact they serve frozen ready made chips and my dessert which was supposed to be hot was still cold in the middle. A pleasant outside patio under the old church and with a good view.
