Friends highly recommended this little restaurant to us. In fact, they so highly recommended it, they offered to take us there, and to host us. It is run by a very nice couple, who were so kind to us from the moment we arrived. They ended up having dinner with us at our table. As you can imagine, it was an unforgettable evening. We never saw a menu; we left it to our hosts to show their confidence in their specialties. We started with plates of crostini and batter-fried vegetables and glasses of a mellow house red and spritzes; then we moved through one course after another of fresh vegetables (many from their own garden), broiled anchovies (really fresh and surprisingly good), a main course of fresh local fish, and on and on! Fresh torta di mela for dessert. Of course, we finished with homemade limoncello from their own trees! (Other diners were having a breaded Milanese-style filet that looked delicious also.) Just wonderful. We must also mention the decor, which has a library theme, with wallpapers of books, flooring with laminated books, books dangling from the ceiling, actual books in bookshelves and old manual typewriters scattered about. I did not have occasion to use the restroom, but others in our party reported it has some very special plumbing and bathroom fixtures, which to contribute to the atmosphere of fun. We appreciated the recommendation of our friends, and now we are happy to recommend the Bookaffe to our friends on TripAdvisor!

Whenever we are in ventimiglia we visit "Ristorante da Daniele".We had been there yesterday for lunch and it had been again just great.Real italian atmosphere, we had been the only tourists, friendly and family style atmosphere.I had, together with my wife, frittura mista as starter; just perfect, extremly well done.Afterwards, as main course, my wife had spaghetti alio / olio - she loved it, so did I with my spaghetti frutta di mare.We loved the time and will come back soon.....

The best place to discover fresh homemade pasta with about 40 different sort of sauces. Nice restroom, front of the seaside, multilingual staff. You should taste : tagliolini with lobster, tagliatelle with shrimps and mushrooms, penne with bitter cocoa wi
Never, ever, ever had anything less than excellent here. Really very delicious food, generously sized patios which you can take home in a doggy bag, friendly service. It's always busy and has several sittings per mealtime. I just wish it was closer to us.

Visited BBQ on 29th of June with my partner. We tested the menu which was cheap (very affordable really). However we thought that the food would be great according to the reviews here on Tripadvisor. It was good, maybe just mediocre, but nowhere near great as some have said here.As we did only test the menu (starters, main course and dessert) it's possible that the hamburgers are as good as people are writing here. For us it was a mediocre to good visit. But maybe it's as good as you can get for the price.

An intimate and welcoming. Located in the city center near the station. Mediterranean cuisine, fine wines and friendly staff and qualified. A restaurant ideal for a romantic evening but also for a reunion between friends.
The typical Ligurian menu up and down the coast is about as predictable as the standard Chinese restaurant list. The real difference comes in the quality of the ingredients and the execution. On these measures, La Musa is worthy of your consideration. Add the pleasant service, simple but elegant interior and a few more adventurous dishes and it adds up to a desirable venue, at least for lunch. We have always felt the standards are more demanding the closer you get to the French border, and while we were here, nearly all the other patrons were French, a further sign of culinary approval.A sformatina of artichokes and a fried Camembert appetizer both were satisfying appetizers. Our mains, lightly fried calamari, prawns and vegetables; and an Orata filet, Ligurian style were both satisfying. We were too full for dessert, but did have espresso. While Illy is usually smooth and satisfying, theirs was a little on the bitter side. It appears that half the menu is on the pizza side of the equation, ad at this point we can't express any opinion on its success. We would consider going back to this fairly priced and modest main street location, a five minute walk from the train station.

Anna and Emanuele again surpassed our expectations with their refined gourmet tasting menu. The interesting thing of this restaurant is that everything is made of the some of the simplest ingredients yet of the highest possible quality.Everything comes with a detailed explanation, the combination of the ingredients virtuous and the wines assorted with the dishes.Worth a long long drive...

During an 8-night stay in Apricale with our young adult children, we twice enjoyed having dinner at Marco Polo. Dining there is a truly remarkable experience. The first night we hopped about the menu. Everything was fantastic. The second night, we all enjoyed the Ocean Menu. Each course was AMAZING. This chef innovates at the intersection of the Mediterranean Sea and the hinterland of Liguria. Perhaps this is perfectly illustrated by one of the Ocean Menu coursesâravioli with rabbit and sea urchin, fresh burrata, thyme. (Upon our return from the trip, we reminisced by each sharing our singularly favorite bite of the entire multi-city journey. Every person who received the ravioli cited this dish as his/her favorite dish of the trip.) The entire experience is wonderful. Lovely restaurant, immediately on the sea with beautiful views of the coast. Very warm and professional service. Perfect wine recommendations/selections. The dining experience is layered and unfolds with surprises (amuse bouche, palate cleanser, etc.) that Iâll decline to elaborate upon so you may perhaps enjoy the delight of the completely unexpected, delicious morsel arriving to your table. Iâve posted a photo of the Ocean Menu. Other beautiful full menus are available, too, as well as à la carte selections. Salt-encrusted sea bassâ¦langoustineâ¦lobster fricassee pastaâ¦leeks with razor clams and black truffleâ¦red mulletâ¦fritto mistoâ¦the pistachio gelatoâ¦the tarte tatinâ¦delicious! My photos of the plates do not do them justice so I wonât post them, but images may be found on Facebook (Diego Pani) and Instagram (dede_pani). When a visitor to the area, please make a point to experience this restaurant early in your stay so youâre able to return and enjoy it againâ¦and again. We simply canât wait to return.

In the center of Ventimiglia, under the train station. The Geppy's bistro serves lunch, business lunch, with increasingly different every day. The a la carte dinner with traditional dishes and reinterpretations, wine list with a wide choice. In pieno centr
The fresh seafood and pasta were delicious. And wines were very reasonably priced and the dessert was memorable. The restaurant is a five-minute walk from the train station so it was very convenient as well.

Simply the best kitchen meditteranea
This grand restaurant has already achieved a pinnacle of success (and doesn't need my review), but I have to say that it was just an amazing experience--service so attentive that you hardly notice it, sweeping views of the sea, and comfortable, luxurious seating. The food was the star: each dish that came out was unique and colorful, but the explosive flavors knocked me out. I especially like the seafood dishes that were subtle, gentle, velvet-like. The tasting menu was five or more courses - but the total amount did not overwhelm me. An experience of a lifetime.
