Ate here during a one week family stay. Had some starters, different plates (veal milanese, gamba-linguini and tartare with French fries) and good wine. Food was good, everything brought on time, very friendly and hardworking staff. Prices are reasonable for the location. Nice and relaxed atmoshpere. Keep up the good job! Ps: we were with 6 and just on time (8pm) for a table so maybe a telephonecall to make a reservation wouldn't harm...

This restaurant was recommended to me by a local lady. I was looking to eat local fish, and decided to try it. The food was very good, and the flavors perfect after a hot day of sightseeing. I got the 30 euro menu. The only reproach I have is that the personel seemed eager to get me on my way (traveling solo), although there was only one other table of 3 people there. Th bill was 50 some odd euros for one as I had a pre dinner cocktail, a glass of wine and a coffee. At that price, I would have expected a bit more kindness/friendliness... but this is France. LOL. Glad I tried it, but I do not think I will return, as I can find a bit friendlier place to dine in.

Beside the market in Royan; the chef has an award for only using fresh ingredients and cooking everything on site. Our group of five had a number of different - all fish dishes - all of which were excellent... Deserts OK but only limited cheese available. Really nice service - friendly and warm.... Good place.

Excellent food, excellent service and excellent location. My wife and I chose from the menu decouverte and all the dishes were superb. Great ingredients, well cooked and perfectly seasoned. The menu was inventive. Service was professional and attentive. The decor is very pleasing and the view magnificent. Total bill for two including a bottle of wine was â¬100 which, considering the location and quality, was reasonable. Unlike some other reviewers we didn't feel rushed at all. Maybe that is only a problem at the height of the season? Highly recommended and I would certainly go back.

Had delicious gourmet lunch as well as Friday nite dinner overlooking the 18 th hole. Food gourmet quality wellpriced. Service top notch. Has to be one of best restaurants in this lovely seaside cities. When you tire of the very good beach choices try the golf club for a dining experience!

Nice restaurant (or take it away) with a supermarket concept and fresh homemade food. Choose your starter, main and dessert from the shelve. Put them in your basket. Go to the cashier for water and wine and pay your bill. After you finished your starter, your main course is served hot and steaming. And you can finish it off with a coffee. A servant will help you understand the system from start to end. The wine is good, but not cheap. Bon appétit!

So beautiful ! To break with the addresses "seaside", our gourmet enclave has chosen to set its decor in a quiet, just 2 minutes by car from the center of Pontaillac. The place is cozy, colorful and modern. Our Chef Christian concocts a traveling card and
We ate here last weekend, and stumbled upon the restaurant by accident. We didn't have a restervation, but the lovely waitress, quickly seated us. The restaurants decor is very modern. And the table's are not too close together. They offer 3 different type's of menu's, plus the specials of the day. We opted for the 19 euro menu. Which constisted of starter, main and dessert. For started we chose the grilled camembert. The cheese was wrapped in filo pastry and cooked. served with an ample salad and dressing. It was delicious. The main was steak and chip's. Although simple, was extremely tasty. And for dessert, french bread, but they used brioche. Is was delicious too. This restaurant; for the value, cannot be missed. Located on the road to Royan, as you leave Vaux sur Mer. It is also a hotel.

Everything about our dinner was superb. The food was delicious, the service friendly and faultless, the air conditioning worked well.St Palais was suffering from a plague of mossies and flying ants, but not in this restaurant as the rooms had been sprayed just prior to opening.Very very good.

This restaurant is not in the main hub of town but right opposite the cathedral. We were warmly greeted and chose the set menu (available in the evening). Home made bread and a fish paste were brought to the table as a free mini starter. The starters were fab as were the mains, tasty and presented to a high standard. I didn't have a dessert but those who did said it was delicious. Not only is the service and food great here but also the value for money, we had 2 aperitifs, 2 glasses of wine, large bottle of water, 1x2 course meal and 2x3 course meals plus coffees with homemade biscuits. Total of 74 euros. Would definitely eat here again!

What a wonderful lunch we had. The restaurant decor is fantastic and the food is exquisite. Starting with the Pigs Tail (yes it is and itâs excellent) all the way through desert the entire culinary experience rivals any restaurant in NY, Paris or London. We recommend this to everyone!
