Lovely location, shame about the food, which was bland, overpriced and underwhelming, perhaps we were expecting too much given this place was recommended, but I'm afraid I just can't get excited about undercooked grainy rice and tasteless fish which should have been to die for given the proximity to the ocean. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but I wouldn't recommend it based on our dining experience.

As part of the Pearl Beach experience, the food is good, but average. It is one of a few dining options at the Pearl Beach. A better option is to charter the electric boat, and visit the Yacht Club on the main island of Bora Bora.

Stayed at the Meridien with three kids aged 12, 10 and 7. We had bought a half board meal package which gave us breakfasts and dinners. Breakfast was always at Le Tipanie. Overall, pretty impressive. The waiters/waitresses and staff were fantastic. There were lots of breakfast options. The fruit was fresh, the omelettes were tasty and the crepe/pancake bar where a cook made them in front o you was a real hit with kids. Nice Illy coffee pod machine which did a pretty decent coffee. Dinner was pretty good. The lay out of the restaurant with the views is first class. Our board enabled us to choose three courses (kids could also order off the adult menu). You could choose to dine at Le Tipanie or Te Ava and so we mixed it up a little. Two buffet nights at Tipanie were the food was very tasty with a polynesian theme. A la carte was nice also. Only real negative I saw is that the bottled water was not included and the prices reflect French Polynesia in general. Slightly annoying paying for water that was free at breakfast. Overall the setting is amazing and the food is above average. I think pre paying for meals with full board or half board is a very good option.

Experience The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort's exclusive signature restaurant LAGOON by Jean Georges where you will find an unparalled French and Asian-infused menu hand crafted by the celebrated Jean-Georges Vongerichten. LAGOON, which just won the 2014 Awa
We visited Lagoon by Jean Georges on our first night there in St. Regis Bora Bora Resort. The ambiance and the service were both superb while the food was slightly less than what we were expecting. We went for the tasting menu which was a 5 course meal with all the goodies you would expect. The appetizer was great. The scallop dish was very tender to the point I thought it was entirely raw. The only disappointment came from the fish. It was some white fish this I was hoping the meat would be tender. However, it was overlooked and made the fish meat taste like rubber. Other than the fish I have no complain over the other dishes. The ambiance was fantastic. We enjoyed our view of the island as well as the sharks swimming right beneath us in the shark park. Dear Xenoverse,Greetings from Bora Bora and thank you for choosing the St Regis Bora Bora on your recent travel, and for taking the time to write a kind review about your experience at the Lagoon restaurant by Jean George. We are pleased you have enjoyed your dinner with us and have carried back pleasant memories of our restaurant. As we take every feedback from our guests with passionate seriousness, I have taken note of your comments about the fish and I shared it with The Chef in order to improve the quality.Thank you again for being our guest, we hope to welcome you soon again in our property. Most sincerely,Kevin JolivetRestaurant Manager at Lagoon Restaurant by Jean Georges

Treat yourself at Le Corail, the fine dining experience at the resort. Sip your favorite drink on the open air terrace facing the lagoonarium and dine within a refined and air conditioned atmosphere. Perfect for an elegant romantic time with your loved on
We visited Le Corail on our penultimate night staying at the Intercontinental Thalasso. The staff were aware of the dietary requirements and that we were on honeymoon and were extremely friendly and welcoming. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for the Wagyu steak was devine and the deserts were the best I have ever tasted. the experience was all capped off with the waitress gifting her amazing crown of fresh flowers to my wife. The wine choice was extensive too. We are staying on a motu so decided to spend a few hours in Viatape. It was suggested we have lunch at St. James. What a fabulous suggestion! We had a table right next to the water, enjoying the view and ocean breezes. The manager could not have been nicer and even commented that my French accent was good. I had a smoked swordfish roll with goat cheese inside laid on a delicious salad. I love how the French come up with new inventive delicious ideas. My husband had seared ahi with vegetables and artichoke purée which he said was terrific. We were joined with another couple who said their lunches were excellent. Bravo St. James!!
