As the title says - EXCELLENT. The waitresses were friendly and professional, the food was superb, very tasty and great value for money with a three course "menu of the day" for just 10 euros which includes a drink and bread. Not a vast selection on the menu of the day, but does there need to be?There's always the rest of the menu to choose from (which had a wide selection).Would highly recommend when staying at the hotel.

Having visited gran alacant several times, for some reason we've never been here so decided to try and the centre was quiet and get fresh had the most people eating so saw this as a good sign! We weren't disappointed! A large range of food literally anything but dont be put off by this. I chose garlic and chilli prawn starter, different to the usual you get whicu are usually swimming in oil,but nevertheless delicious. My better half had spring rolls, no complaints there. For mains I had the pork in a creamy mustard sauce really tasty and melt in the mouth pork, with mash and veg, very nice. My partner is a bit of a plain eater so he had a butterfly chicken with cheese bacon and chorizo with veg and chips, a winner for him. A good bottle of house wine at 9⬠which was more than drinkable. A shot at the nd of either limoncello, ameratto or a 3rd which I cant remember! Nice lad served us had a bit of banter which is always good. Wish we'd tried sooner but will defo return when we're back in GA

We visit Gran Alicant several times a year and this is our absolute favourite restaurant, the food is consistently excellent , if it is on the specials I always have the sea bass (gorgeous) the staff are really friendly and welcoming and always make sure we have our favourite table , starters are great , try the prawns !! If they have it give the goats cheese and black pudding a go , itâs fab ! My husband almost always has the ribeye steak , says itâs the best in gran Alacant, we would always visit here every time , you do need to book though , it is popular . Well done Hayley and your team , superb !!!

We went tonight for our first night dinner, guided by our trusty App! However I can honestly say the name of the Resturant was all that our experience had in common with the other reviews. The food was far from fresh, my wife's cod wasn't cooked properly, the waiter was shocking!! I repeat shocking, he brought the drinks, put the bottle of un-opened wine in the ice bucket, didn't even open it, we waited far too long before we got another waiter to open it. The waiter completely ignored all of our attempts to get his attention, the only time he bothered to speak was as we were walking away from the table to ask if "everything was OK?" It certainly was not, poor food, although not the worst we've ever had, poor service, quite possibly the worst we've ever had and we do a lot of travelling!!!! My generosity extends to 2 Stars, because the other waiter seamed to be OK, don't go if you want tinned tuna, tinned Red Peppers and tinned Tomatoes in your Tuna Salad, although there's not much choice here!

Wow.....what an amazing experience we had here for our valentines weekend. We opted for the klandestino XL menu and it was just sensational. The service was first class and the waiters really explain to you in detail how to correctly eat each course. The chef Susi DÃaz is one clever lady creating exquisite plates of food. Its a very special place and deserves it Michelin Star. A great place to celebrate a special occasion or if you are a food lover this is a place that you must put on your culinary list. Simply sensational.

La Masia de Chencho is a countryside old house, in the middle of the Elche countryside. It has beautiful gardens and a summer terrace with barbacue. The cellar has more tan 500 wine and champagnes references, all of them supervised by Rafael Reyes, who wa
The Massia is quite simply a professionally run venue with great attention to detail, that produces excellent food. It is in the country on the outside of Elche, and has a formal yet friendly feel to it. The food I had was beautifully cooked and served. My arroz was the best I have tasted anywhere. This is a venue for special occasions, and will not disappoint.

Had a great meal here. Atmosphere was really good. Waiter was very friendly and very helpful. The fish we had was really cooked. Cooked to perfection and very fresh. They have a really good wine selection and the prices are pretty reasonable for the wine. Had a 3-course meal and thought it was very enjoyable at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go back.

Dined here for dinner and took their tasting menu which costs around 25 euro per person and is for two people. it was good and consisted of around 7 small courses so quite a lot of food but very enjoyable. The general price is a little over what one would expect to pay in Spain but not so expensive to put one offDear Sturob47. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the other tripadvisor users. We are happy to know that you enjoyed our tasting menu and a pleasant evening. We regret that the price was not within your expectation. In any case he enjoyed his time in our Restaurant and I hope to see you again. Sincerely, Hotel Areca.

We booked into this lovely hotel on an absolute personal low ebb.We had literally lost our house in the Spanish flood disaster, however how they looked after us for four nights was truly exceptional. The hotel is spotless, the staff incredibly, and the food truly amazing. They simply canât do enough for you, and as for Eloy in the bar, he makes the best G and Tâs Iâve ever had!Iâm returning again next week to carry on with my rebuilding of my home, but I shall be staying at La Posada again.
