Things to do in Toamasina (Tamatave)
On peut y manger les fameuses soupes de Tamatave ou d'autres plats chinois à tarif abordable.Le soir ils proposent même des brochettes de zébu succulentes.Une bonne adresse à Tamatave.
This cute spot has good hours of unlike many restaurants in the area. The restaurant has a variety with some items not found elsewhere like a detox juice! The staff was friendly and customer service good enough to make us want to go back and try some of their curry dishes or pizza. The mezzanine on top might be a nice place to host a party.
This is a new establishment so hopefully they keep their high standards of cleanliness up. The homeade ice cream is the bomb (thats a compliment) and the Chinese soup is huge! The staff is very friendly and although it is near the street there were no beggars watching you eat (which is always a plus if you want to enjoy yourself). They speak English and French so this is easy for tourists. It might be a little hard to find and since it is new some of the local shops aren't aware of its location. I would recommend they give out flyers to the local shops so that they can encourage clients to go there. It is near the Bazary Be which is a good shopping center for souvenirs as well as the Shopping Mall. Thanks for you message, you are welcome

Visited the place to eat food with colleague and to get first hand experience of lots I heard about it. Food quality is good. Friendly and efficient services. Prices are reasonable and easy access . Excellent place to pick up visiting girls to accompany you with little fee for service. Place is very crowdy and so the music level. I fail to understand the complacency of the owner (nice English speaking person) to uplift the condition. If you are a man looking for something more than food please visit. If you have children or genuine girl friend - not sure if I recommend it.

Great food, mix of French, local and Chinese dishes for very good prices. Lovely outdoor dining. We went back 3 times in 2 days!
Really good second restaurant of a popular first opened recently and my wife and I went to try.Same burger and pizza menu, however they now have a 12 dish weekly menu which is excellent. We started with a smoked duck brushetta.....great dish enough for two to share.A fricassie of calamari for me and a touredos of duck breast for the wife, both really good dishes. Two pizzas to take away for dinner tonight.....fantastic...Good food, good service and a revolving menu....winner for meAdded to this a delivery service for pizza and burgers....no1Recommended Enjoy

Our driver recommended this place, and it served probably the best food we had in Madagascar. As in most restaurants the menu is in essence French and European, with with Malagasy ingredients, such as the excellent zebu. I had tournedos Rossini, and it was just excellent. The service was very friendly, and we spent a great evening here.

This place is cool because it has a misting machine that keeps it cooled down. There is good pizza and gratin veggies among other things. But due to the constant influx of people you sometimes might get a funny stomach afterwards. It doesn't stop us from going though especially when we need wifi. I wouldn't want to go there at night though; it is filled with older french men and young Malagasy women. This has turned off several of our visitors but if you go during the day the atmosphere is quite nice. There are beggars outside but for the most part they don't bother you too much. It is close to all the major shopping, banks, and the Homeopharma Massage clinic!

I must have gone to that restaurant like 10 times that is how good the food is. Plus the view....you will be seating having lunch getting a breeze of the sea ....it's stunning. However their need is not the best as in Madagascar there are no real cows just what they call zebu and if you know real beef you will know that zebu is not the greatest - just a warning . And do make a booking. It gets full on Sundays

This joint is rather uneven, possibly following the change of ownership, and I've given it the benefit of the doubt. The service in the large but reasonably inviting bar downstairs (with weird oil drum furniture) was efficient but not friendly, whereas upstairs in the restaurant we were served with a smile but the food didn't all come at the same time. Similarly, the cooking was up and down - my tuna tartare was not tuna and rather tasteless whereas the entrée of calamari with potatoes and aubergine was stellar. The wines were very drinkable with some decent white Bordeaux and the beer was nicely chilled. Inside was fine but, if you're not in a large group, the terrace looked a more attractive bet. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday night by the by.
