Find out what European restaurants to try in Sveti Petar. Saint Peter, also known as Simon Peter, Simeon, or Simon, according to the New Testament, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ, leaders of the early Christian Great Church. Pope Gregory I called him repeatedly the "Prince of the Apostles".

A recommendation from skipper/spearfisherman/waterpolo player Luka brought us out of Zadar and to Sveti Filip i Jakov. We were told in order to truly get authentic Dalmatian cuisine you have to get to the smaller villages. Luka was very correct because we had our favorite meal at Konoba Kojo. Three of us shared the octopus "under the bell", a very traditional recipe and way of cooking in this area. The octopus was prepared so well and the flavor was so great with the potato and herbs. Another person in our party ordered a steak which also had a very delicious flavor. I enjoyed their red wine and homemade bread in addition to our main meal. I highly recommend taking the journey out of the city for this delicious and authentic food! If you plan on having something "under the bell" be sure to order the day before! The timing is so important. We give this place bonus points as well for a beautiful view of the sunset and the owner and their family, who took the time to come to talk to us about the food, its history, and how it is made!
If you order spaghetti with sea fruits for the price of 15⬠you would expect to get some fresh products. We got bland, tasteless, unseasoned mush of over coocked pasta with frozen sea fruits. Stay miles away.

Authentic dalmation tavern with traditional food and pleasant staff. Unforgettable gastronomic experience. The food is prepared from daily fresh ingredients and love for cooking. You will always find fresh fish, seefood, meat and pasta dishes.
Amazing restaurant with 2 floors, would recommend the balcony area which has a beautifull view at the church tower. We had the dentax fish and squid plate.Super fresh and big portions.Very kind and welcoming staff that speak great english and take the time to explain stuff.
After we tried most of restaurants in Sv.Filip i Jakov we can tell that this restaurant is best value for money. Good quality ingredients, fresh made food, great pasta.. And the view is grat too, first line to the sea.

Great outdoor place, very friendly staff, quick service, tasty food. In summer you could have some trouble finding the table, because place is very crouded at that time of the year, especially in the evening. They also offer lasagne, pasta, salads and other dishes. Great for a quick and tasty lunch.
Every day we offer a large selection of top-of-the-line foods of different types made from local prooducers ingridients by traditional recipes, merging traditionally with modern.
Food we ordered was excellent, and most important, it was very cheap for the quality of the food!! We loved the sewing machine tables and grill on the terrace (we could see when our meals were preparing!) The waitressess were very aproachable and helped us with orders.Firstly, we ordered prosciutto and cheese for two and we got pizza bread and olives with it. Then for the main course, tuna steak with mangold and pizza Slavonska. We are definitely coming back!!!

A charming old tavern that offers a taste of modern but traditional cuisine ...
We made reservations as we had been turned away before as it gets busy after 7 pm. This place has beautiful ambiance and is a very relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the chaos right outside the street. Our server was very sweet: courteous and very professional. The drinks were mixed just right. And the house wine was really good. I almost asked to buy a bottle. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant is also on the pricy side. We had the monk fish in sauce, steak with potatoes, sea bass filet, and the turkey salad. Everything was cooked well and tasted good. We would like to return but don't have the time this vacation. I would try different dishes next time.
