I was not too hungry so had a shrimp salad which was a decent size and was very nice though almost sent it back for too much salt - large chunks of crushed salt really hit the palate a few times. The brownie was really lovely as was the accompanying ice cream.

We have made a restaurant that we would like to eat at. The food is simple, the taste is deep, the service is flying, and the room gives you a hug. A contemporary brasserie, with focus on the vegetables, great quality and fresh fish or meet.
We had the pleasure to dine at this small and cozy restaurant. Our expectations were high and we were not dissatisfied. The food served was not ground breaking but nevertheless very well prepared-Sea bisque with delicate flavours (and som awesome bread)-Crisply fried veal on paprika/cream sauce and maskhed potatos (basically a new version of Beuf Stroganoff)-30 month old Comté cheese with browned, melted butter and crisp walnuts- Chokolate tarte with ice cream etc.The chef definitely knew how to get the best flavours out of the raw materials - unfortunately we were too polite to lick the dishes. To this we ordered the wine ad libitum option and was positively surprised by well chosen wines (Rosé, White, Red) generously served. The place was saturday night busy, but nevertheless the waiter was very attentive (without being at our necks all the time) and had a good sence of humour. And the price? Absolutely reasonable (Less than DKK 550 per pers, including additional dessert wine)All in all a very positive experience where we felt that we received far more than just value for money.

We had the 3 course dinner and found it very tasty. The dessert was a bit blend, but the rest had great taste. Service was so so. A little to relaxed, a very quick presentation of the food and wines, somewhat minimalistic, we would have liked more info upfront. Instead we had to ask serveral times...Prices midrangeView over the ocean was unbeatable

This restaurant is quite popular. It is situated in the pedestrian street area on the sunny side in the afternoon and with outdoor seating it more or less sells itself. At my last visit the waiting time was so long that we decided not to return. But looking inside there seemed to be servants enough, so we gave it a try.We ordered the steak and fries with a cold tarragon sauce and a small salad. The salad and the sauce was fine. The fries were of the precut type, but warm and crisp with the right amount of salt. The steak was tender but undercooked. We ordered medium, but it was medium-rare. As for drinks the organic ginger beer was delicious. No one ever turned up to ask about coffee and eventually we just paid at the bar.

I wish that I had gone to this restaurant first, because it would then be my only "5" rating while here...We attempted to eat at Resume this evening, however it was reservations only, so we ventured down to this place. We were amazed by the service and the meal.We started with a bottle of their Cote d'Rhone - which was the perfect balance for our meals (mostly Granache)...I ordered the roasted lemon sole, my wife ordered the rib eye steak. Both were prepared to perfection. The sole was delicate, light and flaked as it should. It was perched on a bed of vegetables that were also cooked to perfection. It came with steamed potatoes (more than you can eat) and served with a delicious sauce that was perfectly matched. Utterly outstanding meal. The rib eye steak was also cooked to perfection and came with vegetables and a light cabbage salad. It included fries. Thus meal was also savory and wonderful. We finished with their Creme Brulee and a couple of glasses of their port. What a nice finish. It topped the other 2 restaurants we rated (though all were good) and felt it was the best meal of our trip.

My wife and I visited "Tapas Classico" with another couple, who also appreciate good wine and good tapas. We had a very good service at the restaurant with a good selection of great-sounding red wines, white wines and rosés. Two of us had a really tasty amarone with our tapas, my wife and her friend has a glass of a white wine and a rosé. The Amarone was really good. The tapas was very expertly made, presented and served. It was very tasty.

Salig Simons Gaard is the epitome of a French bistro, which you know from Paris' many wonderful streets. Here you get served an ensemble of French classics for lunch. For dinner we serve our special all inclusive menu for 500 DKK per. person
Dinner - Svendborg Night 2. It's good we booked because the tiny 'bistro' was packed and people did indeed get turned away. I love the concept - only a single set menu - so no fiddle faddle having to decide. We opted for the fancier wine-paring menu and weren't disappointed. It was a lovely long leisurely meal. Looking forward to eating at their sister/brother restaurant Resumé on Tuesday.Just one niggling criticism. Twice we were offered an extra glass of wine between courses. How sweet we thought. We have experienced in other restaurants offering wine menus. But no. We paid and this had not been explained. The waitress should make that clearer.

Another perfect evening at Resumé. The concept is nothing less than amazing with the continued quality Resumé offers. Elegant, tasty food, esquisite service from professionals, intimate atmosphere. Make reservations a long time in advance. You will never and not regret it. Go if you ever get the chance.
