Christopher Columbus added St. Barthelemy, or St. Barts to his collection in 1493, but the French soon stepped in. Today, the chic Caribbean island - officially a department of France - is a popular winter getaway for people from mainland France, the rest of Europe and North America. Keep in shape and walk between attractions or get a rental car to see more of the island. Beachgoers can choose between strands such as Grand Saline, if nude sunbathing appeals, or shady, isolated Colombier Beach.

It is from the bottom of our hearts that we thank you for your support and patience as we start our reopening journey for late 2018. Situated in the heart of the hotel's lush tropical gardens, Bartolomeo offers bistronomic cuisine. Showcasing the islandâs
Restaurants on the island change from year to year. Last year we had a very pleasant dinner ar the Bartolomeu so we decided to return. We found the garden setting very pleasant. Food and service were excellent. We also usually have lunch once a year at L'Indigo which we.repeated again this year. The food, setting and especially the service were excellent. We will return again next year probably to both but certainly to Le Bartolomeo.

We stayed at Le Guanahani and had lunch or small meals everyday. Casual beachfront location, under cover, toes in the sand with views of the ocean and lagoon beaches. Good food options ranging from ceviches, salads, pastas, sandwiches and grilled fish & meat, all with picturesque presentation.

Five years had passed since our last visit and this restaurant continues to be one of our favourites for lunch in St Barth, as we confirmed last week. Excellent food, great setting and service. We love coming back whenever we visit the island.Interesting that it is not mentioned in some restaurant guides/lists.

At Le Barthélemy, two dining experiences have been created in one spectacular seaside setting. By day, the menu is light, fresh and carefree. As the sun sets, Aux Amis surfaces, sending a ripple through the daytime calm and offering island-inspired French

Stopped here with a group of friends for lunch and had an amazing meal! I ordered the cheeseburger and it was great...way too much to eat in one sitting. Lunch was followed up by a shot of vanilla rum! Great service and good prices.

We had dinner at Francois Plantation last night. The dining room is one of the most elegant on the island. It is reminiscent of some of the old colonial hotels you find in Asian cities. The crowd was older, mostly American and fairly sedate for such a sexy island. Our dinner was very, very good. Setting magnificent. What got to me was the sommelier. I joked with him that I'd been on the island for almost ten days, was down to my last few francs and would appreciate his recommendation for a wonderful, full bodied red that I could afford with my thin wallet. He immediately suggested, without a hint of humor, a $500 bottle of wine. We ordered a bottle of the house red ($90) and it was better than fine. Very good, actually. We've been coming to St. Barths for 30 years and think it one of the best places we've ever been. But every once in awhile you have a needlessly rude experience here and this was the one on this holiday. Otherwise, the Hurricane Irma torn island is working hard to come back to life and return itself to the paradise so many of us love.Dear guest,May we thank you for the elogious review you posted on TripAdvisor regarding your experience François Plantation. We are delighted to read your compliments, be sure we will be proud to share them with all our team as well as your wine choice experience, please accept our sincerest appologies about this misunderstading from our sommelier. We hope to see you back soonKind regardsZora StratenwerthGeneral Manager

Sand Bar is currently located in Lorient. Itâs the new Eden Rock Pop Up Beach. Itâs as beautiful as youâd expect. We rented to sun beds for the day and had lunch in the lounge area. Itâs not cheap but we had a really great afternoon there so we felt it was worth it. It would be great if Eden Rock would keep this satellite beach even when their hotel reopens. Dear Vickie, We were delighted to welcome you at our Eden Rock Pop-Up Beach and thank you so much for giving us five fabulous stars. We wish you many wonderful adventures until we meet again in paradise.Warmest regards from all of the team,Fabrice Moizan General Manager Eden Rock - St Barths
