For a change we decided to give Asos a try, having never been before we had no expectations, however we were very impressed both with the service and quality of the food. We will definitely go again.

Small independent cafe-bistro serving provincial French "peasant food" - This is not fine dining! Its loud, noisy and rustic.
My husband took me for my birthday on a Wednesday evening. A waiter called Kenny was very brusque and abrupt, and appeared to not be enjoying his job!! The food was very nice, beautifully cooked and so tasty. There was live music during the evening which we were looking forward to. He was very good, but the tunes he chose were all quite sad. Not quite gentle background music for you to still chat to others on your table, more lets go before anyone slits their wrists! Food good and all other staff friendly.

We had been intending to try this out for a long time, more for curiosity than with any great expectations, but never got around to it until one very rainy august day when we needed a distraction from the gloom so booked a table for lunch. When we arrived the restaurant was empty, but so was the rest of Orpington, we were greeted by a very nice, but very nervous young man who was intent on getting it right and pleasing the customer. He showed us to a nice table by the window and provided menus and a good selection of fresh homemade bread. We settled down to watch the rain and make our choices accompanied by a bottle of wine.More customers then started to arrive, most of whom seemed to be regulars who eat here every week no matter the weather. The rain continued to fall heavily. Our starters arrived, asparagus with parma ham and a perfectly cooked poached egg, an excellent classic summer dish. The rain still fell, our mains arrived, chicken breast with mushrooms and polenta and salmon with sweet potato. Both beautifully presented and perfectly cooked, indeed my chicken was probably as good as i have ever had cooked by a fully trained chef, let alone by a trainee. The rain continued, the wine bottle emptied, our deser arrived, gooseberry fool, what a treat! This restaurant and its staff managed to cheer us up on an awful day, the food is excellent, the staff inexperienced but trying hard and the menu is limited but even so gives a good choice for lunch at a very competitive price. The surroundings are bright and seats are comfortable After this experience I think we will be joining the merry band of regulars for lunch in future. The very young chef seemed totally elated when people congratulated him on his skill so should go far in this business if he keeps it up. Dear Customer, many thanks for your generous feedback and of course for taking the time to write to review us. We are so happy that we were able to brighten your day. I have passed your comments on to the team that was on site that day and they where thrilled, especially young Dave.We would very much welcome you in our (sometimes very) merry band of regulars and hope to see you again soon.Stay in the loop about upcoming events and news on twitter@br6restaurant. Kindest RegardsMarcel

My wife and I went to this restaurant for dinner and we were not disappointed. We started with a plate (for2) of mixed meze and we were most impressed, each one was fresh and delicious. For the main course my wife chose vegetarian Moussaka whilst I chose the meat (lamb) version. Both were of good standard.

A warm welcome to Elizabeth's, our family run restaurant in Rochester, Kent. Manuel & Cristina opened this beautiful 16th century Tudor building as a restaurant in 1992. The restored beams, exposed brickwork and classic vintage design pieces create an ele
British cuisine with a touch of an appealing quality. It is not your humble restaurant, as humble as the historic Elizabethâs restaurant building. There is a sense of prim and proper ness to the service, food preparation and itâs interior queues.A soup and bread amuse bouchée whet the appetite before the starter was served. The beetroot fritters were excellent; it was great seeing such an ingenious dish on the menu. The main, the nut roast, may have lacked a piquant of flavour. It was moist and crumbly, the combination of this with the sautéed potatoes and sides of vegetables made for an enjoyable end to dinner.

RM Italian restaurant Gravesend offer a fine selection of excellent authentic food. Diners can expect to find exquisite specials and house favourites.
Kids meal was supposed to be chicken nuggets with chips that was supposed to come with a drink and ice cream but came without these so had to call for them. When I cut the chicken open bits of it was pink so we sent it back and they sent another one. When they received it back we got a very rude phonecall to say the chicken was fine (if you want your child to get salmonella poisoning then yes it was perfectly fine). We also ordered lasagne which was not edible whatsoever. Donât even know what the meat was because it certainly wasnât beef. Tasted more like dog or horse. Another meal was meatballs and spaghetti but the meatballs were as dry as ghandiâs flip flops and also joined the rest of the âdinnerâ in the bin. After all that at least the bin was well fed for the night. Never ordering here again.

We visited for the first time, after finding the restaurant, walking around Maidstone previously. A really nice restaurant, with a good selection of starters, and mains. We decided on rice balls, and mussels for starters.Husband had the salmon, and i had the lamb shank for our main courses. There is a lovely wine list as well.Service was good and friendly. Would have loved to have stopped for pudding, liqueor coffee and a grappa for the other half, but it got too busy.

Went to the Poet for our anniversary lunch with our son and daughter-in-law. We couldn't have wished for a better venue. The staff were polite professional and the white glove service was first class. The menu extensive and the lunch most palatable. Could not been better. We also given a brief history of the poet, Siegfried Sassoon, by the manager. For that special lunch this is the place.
