Find out what European restaurants to try in Sestri Levante. Sestri Levante (Latin: Segesta Tigullorum/Segesta Tigulliorum) is a town and comune in Liguria, Italy. Lying on the Mediterranean Sea, it is approximately 56 kilometres (35 mi) south of Genoa and is set on a promontory. While nearby Portofino and the Cinque Terre are probably the best-known tourist destinations on the Italian Riviera, Sestri Levante is becoming quite a favorite among Italians. This once quiet fishing village is slowly turning into a tourist hotspot, developing an old and a new town.

perfect âafter beach terraceâ on the golfo ...along the road to the marina. itâs a cool corner in two ways: for its geographical setting, looking NNW and therefore having some enjoyable shade and because itâs looking right onto one of Sestriâs beaches and hosting locals as well as tourists. nice hangout for an aperitivo but as well good for lunch and dinner (on the first floor/ street level).

This restaurant is located right on the side of the bay with great view at the sea and surrounding hills. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff who provided perfect service with a twist of humour. The food itself was flawless, light and interestingly flavoured.

Learning we had an hour to our next train, with stomachs growling, we walked to find this cute restaurant near the train station. The friendly staff brought us delicious pizza and wine in record time while locals were engaged in fine dining. Grazie!!!

We had dinner at the Cantine Cattaneo after visiting close to 10 other restaurants in the region during a week in October. We went there with our 3 kids and had an amazing experience. This is by far the best place in the region. All dishes were excellent! Would especially recomend the fois gras and the tuna tartare and you should also try the pata negra. The wine list is also of very high quality. The restaurant is located just outside the city center but just a quick walk from most of the hotels in Sestri Levante. It's in an old olive oil cellar and beautifully decorated. This place stands out from the crowd, not the cheapest but definately worth it, strongly recomended!

What a fabulous restaurants . We wanted to find a special venue for my birthday meal with friends during our holiday in chiavari and this fitted the bill perfectly. Fantastic presentation and deliciously tasty courses. The staff were incredibly attentive and the whole meal experience was enhanced by the little extras like the prosecco, taster starters, muscat wine and limoncello . I would thoroughly recommend it for a special occasion.

The perfect place to relax for pre-dinner drinks/aperitivi, Ligurian dishes including a selection for vegan and vegeterians and after dinner lounge bar. Some evenings live piano music.
Ate here on on next to last night and ended up again the next night. Very friendly hosts with food a step up from the mass produced meals at most of the tourist restaurants. Lovely wine and the quality of the food is top notch. Recommend the tuna with herb crumb and the beef cheek ( but not together )Very nice! Thank you so much

A HISTORIC MANOR of the end of '800 facing the sea : location for exclusive EVENTS , new RESTAURANT
We were staying at the Grand Bristol hotel in Rapallo end of September 2016 and the weather was excellent so walking about we passed the Villa twice a day for 4 days before we worked out how to get to it as their signage was a bit lacking - but eventually went into the communal park and found the entrance gate! So glad we did. It is an oasis of calm away from the bustle and traffic of downtown Rapallo and simply stunning views from the terrace. Very romantic and nicely furnished.Had dinner and then came back for our last holiday lunch. Both times the service was attentive and the food excellent. Enjoyed the risotto with strawberries and the sea bass baked in salt - well cooked and not overdone as sadly it can be.Overall it is a cut above any other restaurant in Rapallo and we would thoroughly recommend seeking it out if you are staying in or near Rapallo.
