Time seems to have stopped here and tradition still lingers on a place immersed in the natural beauties of the Dolomites. The restaurant offers lovely local dishes, such as a 'risotto with wild fennel and speck', whereas the stable and the barn keep a fascinating character of the past. I visited this place for a fantastic wedding.

This rifugio is right by the cable car that goes up Mt Lagazuoi. It's a popular stop for food and refreshments and on a good day there's plenty of diners sitting outside enjoying the spectacular vista with their meals. There's also dining room inside. Food here was good and hearty.

This rifugio supplied our fourth supper along our guided groupâs 9-day Alta Via 1 trek. The building appears larger on the inside, and it seemed it had at least three separate dining area: a breakfast room, supper room, and bar area with plenty of seating. The meal was handled by the proprietorâs daughter. Though she didnât possess her motherâs steely hospitality, she was equally welcoming and gracious as she took our orders. There was a salad course which was unexpected but super bright-tasting and delicious. Primi involved mezzaluna pasta stuffed with a sweet vegetable and generously sprinkled with poppy seeds. My secondi was a plate of mushrooms, a beef patty, large slices of polenta, and probably a quarter pound of fried cheese. Hubsâ secondi involved chunks of braised beef in a hearty sauce, two large dumplings, and sauerkraut. Dolci was a chocolate pudding in a pool of cream and sweet biscuit. Our group also highly enjoyed two bottles of tasty Poliziano Montepulciano as it was my and Hubs' wedding anniversary and everyone was in a celebratory mood (it probably helped that we had our own rooms with en-suite bathrooms that night). My only disappointment was actually the limoncello â for some reason, it wasnât as good here as I had tasted elsewhere the past four days in the Dolomites.Even breakfast in the morning had one of the best spreads I remember. The buffet was set up in a different room from the evening before. There was a large variety of offerings that appropriately fueled our energy needs: cured meats, pastries, cakes, cheeses, cereals, fruits, yogurts, hardboiled eggs, a variety of jams, and a complex jukebox-looking machine that dispensed espressos and hot water.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking, they accommodated us even though they were busy. Staff was warm, pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Food made with more attention and care than other restaurants in the area, with a bit of "farm to Table" vibe. Definitely a good choice

Had a dinner here, and everything was satisfying. Quick service, great oven-baked pizza, large courses and a descent pasta. Besides, the place is beautifully designed.

Luckily visibility was so poor that lunchtime here was easy with no queue or waiting. The food is quite simply outstanding. The sliced cold meats are fabulous. The homemade ravioli with nettle, ricotta and cheese âfondueâ sauce was light and delicious. The venison and wild mushroom ragu outstanding. If you only eat once on the mountain in the Cortina district, eat here. The others arenât a patch on it.

Whenever skiing in Alleghe and surrounding areas this restaurant is one of our favourite ones to have lunch. Good choice of tasty and healthy food (grilled vegetables, pasta...). In case of good weather you may sit on a terrace with sunbeds. Service is good, there are usually many people in this restaurant so count on that. Otherwise can really recommend it.

Having a chalet in the Dolomites I have been several times to this family-run restaurant which also makes pizzas. My suggestions are the garganelli with sausages and the pizza family format for 4 people. Anyway all dishes are delicious and the staff very courteous. Prices are also affordable ranging from 15 to 25⬠per person.

This is a very small restaurant, with incredibly tasty food and cozy atmosphere! We tried several types of pizza, all were excellent!
