My husband and I have been traveling in Italy for the past week and a half and this is the best dinner experience we've had yet on our trip. Located away from most tourist attractions, this tiny spot is easy to miss. Don't make that mistake. Right around the corner from Santa Maria del Carmine, make a point of finding this very special bistrot. The owners/operators are incredibly friendly and will help you to find the perfect selections for your taste. I had the ravioli, with spinach, ricotta & mushrooms. Recommended wine selection was a perfect match for my meal. Dishes are hand crafted to perfection. You will not feel rushed in this relaxed atmosphere off the beaten path. Wonderful atmosphere. Wow. We were so pleasantly surprised with this beautiful little restaurant. When I saw the menu, I thought, âweird hippie food Italian style ?â But I was so wrong. The Venezuelan chef has worked in a Michelin started restaurant and brings inventive and refined flair to this little Florentine gem. There was no green salad on the menu, which my father and I were craving. The chef whipped up the most delectable, generously sized, herb laden green goodness Iâve ever had the pleasure of eating! Wow! The olive oil they bring with the bread is just STELLAR and is brought by the lovely manager (I think) regularly from a vineyard in her neighborhood. All of the food was much better than good- this is the next level. Definitely visit if you have the opportunity!

Had lunch outside whilst visiting from a Cruise ship. Very good food and service. Very friendly owners who totally engage with their customers. Great wine. An excellent experience. We also bought their matured Balsamic Vinegar, it may have been 55 Euro but it is quality. Highly recommended restaurant.

We were warmly greeted, advised and helped by the owner who made the effort of speaking French with us. He also had menus in a lot of different languages which is very rare. My first time trying panini wasnât disappointing at all, it was delicious! Cheap, tasty, made with quality ingredients and large portion too! Bread was crispy, there was a lot meat (not too much bread). Also very well-located in Florence. I can only recommend and would totally go again and try other panini and boards/plates. Thank you!!

Whow! What a restaurant!!Incredibly busy but youthful and pleasant staff well able to cope with a full restaurant with queues waiting for tables as previous diners left.Cozze, mussels. In a peppery soup for starters and a combination of frito misto de mare with vegetables tempura for the main course for me and melon and ham starter and grilled fillet beef for my wife were all excellent and served hot and cooked exactly as requested. Other patrons had a variety of dishes including a vast choice of pizzas and pastas.The wine selection was good and prices were reasonable.Worth a visit.

Excellent choice. The restaurant is a tiny little one in the charming area of San Frediano - the right one if you want to escape tourists and find something genuine.The menu gets you away from the traditional Fiorentina-steak to take you through to a journey of different tastes - i had a wonderful chicken tempura.Service is just perfect. People very friendly and professionalJust a note, and it's not necessarily a criticism since the city lives on its tourism, the price is not exactly a budget one. Have been before but the waiting staff need training, the food has been excellent on many occasions... again the chef has a passion that he needs to pass onto the waiting staff. Somewhat rude (even if not purposefully). You Canât always Enjoy a meal If the service is lacking. Food and service need to complement each other....Hello miss,I'm sorry your experience hasn't been good last time, we apologize for any kind of bad behavior the staff may have had.But I feel like 1 star is a little too harsh considering that the food had been excellent, on multiple occasions also, but then again, we'd like you to come once more to see if there's been any improvements since last time, and enjoy a good meal per-say.Sincerely, the Owner.

Le Volte far exceeded our expectations! I ordered their slice steak topped with arugula, parmesan cheese and balsamic. All the flavors combined made for a delicious meal. Fantastic service!

I just got home from a solo dinner at Nedo and am sad I didn't go sooner. The service was friendly and perfectly attentive but not overbearing, and the waiter spoke English in addition to Italian (of course).Despite being a restaurant focused on meat, there are some good vegetarian options. I had the pici (a thick spaghetti typical to Tuscany) with an egg fricassee of lemon, capers and oregano. It was so good with just the right amount of lemon giving it a sense of brightness. Wine and beer list is good, but the amaro selection could be improved. Though an added sip of lemoncello at the end of the meal made up for it. :)All in all a welcoming place with a successfully creative menu - I can't wait to visit Florence again so I can come back.
