I've been to Bussana Vecchia multiple times. the atmosphere is great but the food is usually so so. La Casaccia offers excellent food but only for dinner, the Osteria used to have good food but became mediocre in the past years (and often closed), Apriti Sesamo is ... well let's say that they could use a cook in that place (and a price reduction).Amidst all of this is the Piazetta Golosa. Run by two family teams from Bussana Nuova, it is packed from early in the morning until closing time at about 8 pm for good reasons. Their coffee is great, their pies are home made (delicious strudel), the bruschetta's awesome and they are serve excellent piadine's. The local villagers start there with breakfast and end with an aperitivo, which says enough about the quality is this new place. If they only served dinner... but the Casaccia is nearby.

Just found this place and sat here enjoying the view after a cracking lunch. Stopped for a coffee on way past and was a must to stop on way back for lunch. A fab team who are super helpful at recommending dishes and very good at helping out those whose Italian is non existent too. We will be back and judging how popular it was with the cyclists all enjoying lunch it is THE place to stop! Thanks xx

We wanted a light supper here our last night. 6 of us ordered individual pizzas. Although the ingredients were fresh, the crust was pretty blah. The overall taste lacked the flavors that we expect in Italy. Service was pleasant, but we had to track down a waiter for additional drinks. While ordering dessert, we talked about a local restaurant that serves a free granita and vodka drink; unfortunately, the waiter felt he had to do that as well, which was not our intention. We ordered other items as a result, which may have been his intention. We asked for the extra slices to take out, (totaling 2 full pizzas) but the busboy threw them away, as he was not informed.

Be sure to check your bill. We were overcharged and the manager was very rude when this was brought to his attention. The service was very slow and food was brought at different times. Shame because the food was good, but the manager needs to learn some manners and improve the service.

We found this place by chance as we cycled along the track from Sanremo and it's just a slight diversion off at Bussana before Riva Ligure. It was October so you couldn't eat outside and that must be an added bonus in the summer. We were welcomed by the two young ladies and decided to have the full menu at lunch time ( as we could cycle some of the calories off afterwards!). There's no written menu as they just prepare what is fresh that day and no choice but for fish lovers like us that wasn't a problem and we cleaned our plates! We had Ligurian squid with potatoes and peas, brandajcun- another local dish of fish mixed with potatoes, mussels, a filet of fish with olives and tomatoes. The first course was unusual and delicious of gnocchi with a fish and herb sauce with clams, the second was grilled prawns, followed by a choice of dessert, all accompanied by the house wine ( the white is fizzy like proseeco and accompanies the fish well), a choice of dessert, coffee and liquers. The service was efficient and friendly and the atmoshpere homely. Thoroughly enjoyable and the quality of everything was way above many restaurants in the area. Bravi. If you're in the area and enjoy cycling I recommend trying this path (you can hire bikes at the start and end of route and several places in the middle) and stopping for lunch at this place.

We normally only visit Taggia in the winter months, so we weren't aware that this restaurant had outside seating in the summer which made for a very pleasant atmosphere in the old town.Service was very good from friendly waiting staff, with our waiter speaking quite good English. We had a mixture of dishes including pasta, pizzas and fritto misto and they were all excellent, as was the creme brulee which the waiter said he would use the blowtorch himself to ensure it was crunchy on top and indeed it was.No idea of the overall cost as our friends paid, but the prices on the menu looked reasonable for the quality of the food and the setting. The menu (apart from pizzas) was quite small which I always think is a good thing, but there were some delicious dishes of the day on offer. Altogether an excellent evening and we'll be going back.

A great sea restaurant in the middle of the new port of Marina degli Aregai. A Family restaurant and bar four your breakfast, lunch and dinner. The great atmosphere and the good&fresh food are the great combination for a quick meal or an important or roma
We went at La Terrazza several (4) times during our holidays in the hotel nearby. After the first visit we were suprised already. The interior looks nice in warm colors and accessoirs, waitress/waiters are very friendly and also helped us (as Germans) to explain the Italian menu. Beverages are served just after placing the order and we also got the food without any remarkable delay.Overall we tried the Greek salad, fish of the day, small fillet and large fillet plus cakes as desert. Everything was looking fresh and also the taste was excellent. Especially the fillets (served with peppersauce and fries).Definitely a "must try".

We were looking for a restaurant at lunchtime in Santo Stefano; some places were closed, but Restaurant La Riserva was open, although we were the only diners. We sat in the garden, which is a lovely setting. It felt like a family run restaurant and very welcoming. We had no expectations about the food, as we had not read any reviews or been recommended this restaurant. However, our experience was delightful. We had homemade pasta dishes and two of us shared a large fish for our main course - I think it was bream. It was all delicious.I would gladly return and eat here again.Hello Slapstick, thank you very much by your reviews. I was so happy to meet you and your great family (your children were very fine) and also that you ate a good food in my restaurant. We hope to see you next time and i wish you a beautiful day to all family.Karim Martini

This excellent italian seafood restaurant has a very charming atmosphere and is located directly at the beachfront. The restaurant is built in a beach hut style with lots of bamboo, wooden floor and a thatched roof which creates almost caribbean feeling. We enjoyed lunch with absolutely perfect spaghetti frutti di mare, lovely white vine and a panna cotta dessert which was the best I have ever tasted. The staff was quick and friendly and we will certainly come back to this nice place at next possibility.
