A good number of well though starters and limited number of main dishes (3 meat and 3 fish, plus 2 options outside the menu), which I personally think it's the best combination for a menu. The food was delicious and the meat was melting as butter in my mouth, extremely well cooked. Waiters were so friendly and nice. And, oh là là , the wine list is the most impressive, broad, well selected and intelligent one I've seen in at least 10 years. I personally congratulated the somelier, another super nice person which adviced us greatly. The quality/price from the bill was the best one in the entire summer. We did not stay for drinks in the dancing space, but the place has a very good atmosphere. Will returnThank you for enjoying and sharing your experience at My Restaurant, it is a pleasure to read opinions like this and know that you have enjoyed our space and our food.We will let all your compliments staff know about them.We hope you come back soonGreetings

We ate closed every wednesday ,all day and every thursday lunch.
Always visit when staying with my brother who lives nearby. I enjoyed the small portion of the goats cheese starter, which came with lovely fresh salad and was a good size for me. Followed by mussels and frites. The 2nd visit I had scallops and a really delicious chicken with Camembert sauce - very rich but oh so delicious. The owners offer of his homemade rum punch is a nice finisher. Service and food are great, never feel rushed. Would recommend booking.

We were greeted and seated fairly promptly on arrival; a warm reception considering they were closing in about 20 mins. We were given English menus and our waitress explained several options. We ordered the humus, garden salad and chicken wings to start. The humus good though not enough pitta. The garden salad was a hit! The chicken wings too salty. For mains we shared a seafood paella and had a burger. The paella could do with more spice/taste and the burger we were told no bun would be provided and one had to order chips on the side. The food was a bit of a let down, though the service was a redeeming feature.

Had a great meal here last year, so had to go back. Once again we had a delicious meal and the service was excellent. My wife felt unwell, so couldn't eat much of her excellent lasagne, so they packed it for us to take away and enjoy later, which we did.We expect to be returning to Campello and will definitely be eating at La Vela again.Thank you very much. It is a pleasure for us to take your time to leave us a positive review on this website. Thank you very much again. We hope to see you soon

Dehesa del Mazo, excellent and original selection of exquisite meat price. An establishment that comes from the Spanish tradition in the selection of meats and the prestigious French pastries for dessert. Iberian and meat brought from the smaller towns of
Cannot understand why this is rated so highly! We travelled by taxi from other side of San Juan because of the high ratings but left extremely disappointed. We arrived on a Friday evening about 8.30, restaurant was empty. We ordered drinks, we then ordered steaks, entrcote for my wife and sirloin for myself, and asked for them to be cooked rare. They came with french fries and mild peppers. We were amazed how quickly the food was served, literally 5 - 10 minutes. The steaks were raw in parts, there is a difference between raw and cooked rare!! They were full of fat and grizzle and unpleasant to eat. We pointed this out to Antonio the owner and he literally did not want to know arguing that that was the manner of this type of steak. WHAT NONSENSE. We paid and left. Needless to say we won't be back.Good afternoon and thank you for sharing your opinion. The weekends here in Spain usually dinner after 8:30 pm, that's the reason why there are less people and we can serve the customers faster, than when the restaurant is full.Related about the meat there are some with more fat than others, as you said sirloin we do not serve in our restaurant, perhaps you tried the Iberian pen, which is just a meat fat, and for that reason, usually our customers like it because that grease have a very special taste and for this reason fond and melts in the mouth, apart from the very good taste that all our customers comment. We always approach after serving the dishes to ask if everything is fine, if there is not cooking or anything else, and to be able to solve any detail in time, we tend to pay close attention about cooking, but if you return to dinner and it is not correct , do not hesitate in commenting, and we solve it.I hope to welcome you again and you can enjoy as all our customers the quality of our meats.A cordial greeting,Antonio Zamarreño

This is an unpretentious restaurant, with a phenomenal chef who is passionate about food. We had a selection of creative tapas dishes ... with incredible combinations of flavours and textures. The service and ambience were great ... a fantastic all round experience.

This restaurant is near to my house, so always got passed over on my way to Alicante. But I have heard consistent good word of mouth about it, so thought I would give it a spin for lunch. What a gem. Fabulous selections of wine, a menu degustation for â¬40 which consisted of 2 Tapas, Entrada, fish course, meat course and desert. Everything was of exceptional quality, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked. Add an amazing Ribera del Duero Reserva for less than â¬20 and you have me smiling like a kid.Frustrated, as I have to wait to take friends and family there next time, but want to go back tonight.
