I was travelling with my wife and we decide to have a quick Branch in this Cafe: good idea. Very good cappuccino and traditional breakfast with meat and special egg. Location is really fine and service kind and quick. Cost really cheap. Really a very good quick Branch.

What can I say, 3 times we have eaten here and never were we disappointed. The ambiance is very homely, the gastgarten is very beautiful. Now for the food, the menu is not extensive but has enough variation to suit everyone. The beef schnitzels are very good coated with mustard and horseradish.... The fish dishes delicate and the dessert are delightful.... They have a vey extensive wine list and good prices so no problem....

We enjoyed a great dinner there. Good variety on the menu card. More on the expensive side for St Pölten

The Osteria at Lord Square in St. Polten is a local type of feel-good atmosphere , which is unique in the city and surrounding areas . Different each day of hot dishes , with additional recommendations , such as seafood or fresh fish .
Very good- seemed authentic. I was at a disadvantage not understanding German and not taking the time to translate or look things up. I ordered a veal ragout pasta and it was wonderful. I really liked the service and the food. Should have done back more often as it's also a GREAT wine bar. Plenty to chose from. Very popular and very busy. Go early or make reservations!!

We were invited to a birthday party which took place in this wonderful restaurant. Food was very good and typical Austrian, service very friendly and helpful. Nice and cosy atmosphere. Terrace and garden are lovely.

Arriving at St. Polten station with an hour's wait for the Mariazellerbahn train, we despaired seeing only a McDonald's open early on a Saturday morning. We needed coffee. We tried the city's main square - dead as a doornail. In fairness, maybe the establishments there were just recuperating from Friday night revels. But nothing was open.We then headed toward some interesting steeples in the distance and were delighted to find Domplatz, a lively little place with the Saturday market just getting underway and the Cafe Schubert on its pleasant corner already full of people. Not only did the tables out front prove to be a delightful place from which to view the market's colorful goings-on but on the far side of the square were more tables and chairs punctuated by big Cafe Schubert sun umbrellas, so it appears that as the day goes on and more people arrive, there's another seating option right in the midst of the day's action. We only had time for a quick but well-brewed coffee and a small pastry that made up in sweetness for what it lacked in size, but we were able to fortify ourselves for the upcoming train ride to Mariazell and at the same time soak up a little of the local atmosphere on a busy market day at Domplatz. It was all quite charming, and the cafe was a pleasant oasis, not to mention a better option for coffee than the standard McDonald's back at the station.

Be prepared to pay premium prices for being in a trendy, glitzy locale with perfect location on main square of St. Poelten. Coffee and cake will easily set you back EUR 10. Decor and ambience are main reasons for visiting.

I chose this restaurant for a solo dinner based on recommendations from Trip Advisor and it didnât disappoint.Staff kindly found me a table even through the restaurant was packed and offered me water, recommended a great Nero Davola (red wine) and provided a menu in both German and English.Service was quick and friendly and the food was tasty with a very generous serving size.I ordered a Calabrese pizza and managed to eat about half before I had to admit defeat. The food was fresh, delicious and authentically Italian. It was a busy restaurant with a warm, social atmosphere and itâs great whether youâre dining alone, with a friend/partner or with a group of people. If youâre in St Polten and enjoy Italian food La Dolce Vita is the place to go.
