We are here one evening and we were satisfied, We ordered cuttlefish sauteed in butter and parsley. Very, very good indeed. The accompanying vegetables were zuchinni and these were also sauteed to perfection. There is a great childrens menu with milkshakes and ice cream.

We were delighted to find that Loic and Florian Bordier, the chefs behind this inventive restaurant, have blended flavours from their travels wound the world with French cuisine of the Charente Maritime region. It brings some real pizzazz to the meal and we were all delighted with main courses we had. Definitely a 'MUST VISIT' recommendation if ever on the Ile d'Oleron. And the wines have a broad choice without being too expensive. Five stars!

Went here with friends while staying in Ile d'Oleron. Although a bit expensive the food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing especially the sweets. The staff were very busy and so seemed a bit rude to begin with but seemed to be a bit better once they got a little quieter

We've been to this restaurant a few times now and it really is exceptional. It gets very busy especially weekends so book in advance. It is in a beautiful location surrounded by water and accessed by a wooden bridge and platform. The service is friendly and excellent and the staff all have very good knowledge of the menu. The menu is quite small but caters for most tastes. It is all locally sourced and the ingredients are of the highest quality. Our food was cooked to perfection. The wine list is very good and local wines from the island are available. Wine prices are very reasonable. The local white Colombard was very very good and perfect with the fish dishes we ordered. Lots to see and do locally before or after your meal.Already planned the next meal there this week!

Nice smiley service. Good location looking out to the little harbour even if across the main road. Interesting menu but dishes disappointing. I had the soupe de poison to start which was fine but then the moule mariniere was a huge dish of quite small mussels in a sauce lacking any of the usual great mariniere flavour. My wife started with a tuna dish and had the blanquette of Encornet which somehow came in cube shaped pieces (?) and again lacked flavour.

We lived in Britanny for some time and ate in some of the best Creperies around so it is almost always a disapointment when we try elsewhere. This place serves quite a large range of good quality crepes, and the service is really friendy, all this for a very reasonable price. Not the sort of place for a special occasion but if you want to eat without getting ripped off, go here.

Excellent value for money. Clean cozy comfortable beds with a shower. If you want space, kettle, a fridge, mirror and all the frills this is not the place for you. Its inexpensive, handy for the island, easy to park and friendly. Breakfast typical basic French offering of croissants, bread and jam. One night yes. Two nights if I was on a budget.

We went here on recommendation and were not disappointed. A small restaurant but the food was prepared freshly and beautifully presented. It was all amazing but the desserts were to die for. Staff were really friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. If you visit Ile D'Oleron you should have a meal here well worth it

Restaurant of local specialities in the flavors moreover Open of Easter to the All Saints' Day Tasting menu proposed to discover the world of the flavors
It is less and less easy to find places which combine both a good atmosphere and a tasty menu.Les Poissons Rouges is one of those places in st Trojan/Ile D'Oleron. There you will feel like a local fisherman with the decor of the place with a perfectly mastered menu. Try la seiche or la sole meuniere.Desserts are also truly tasty. So one of the few places which really deserves a visit.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and photograph the bridge to Ile De Oleron, on Tuesday we found it appears many restaurants were closed! However following a search on m sat nav which was our last resort, we navigated to a couple of places without success finally I found this restaurant listed and we gave it a go. Came across it very accurately, thanks garmin, this place is a lovely chic restaurant with a very personal and homely feel with a rustic touch. A very different menu for us really which is refreshing and some nice touches. I had duck and my wife had steak, the owner, waitress did not speak English but generally not a problem and we muddled our way through the menu, I have to say mainly to avoid getting blue steak.... But easy enough. Find this place out its well worth a visit. Very nice selection of wines, always good to see local selections.Deserts also have an excellent choice and you will be hard pressed not to try one, the best is the selection of deserts which my wife had you get a coffee with this,I. Had crumble with fruit of the season, which seemed to be peach and pear with some apricots too, possibly, very nice and different. Also not a bad price, we had a good wine and two courses for two with coffee for 65 euro.merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire et nous sommes ravis que cela vous ai plu aussi bien le menu que le restaurantcordialementEric et Viviane
