We visited this restaurant in July. We are a family of five visiting from Ireland. When we arrived, there were very few customers. No sign of a Maitreâd. So we took an empty table overlooking the sea.The waitress finally came over and greeted us and Took our order. She brought our drinks and we settled down happily to enjoy what âwe assumedâ would be a pleasant evening.A large party of French people arrived and there was much commotion and loud voicesAnd moving of chairs and tables!Suddenly the Owner appeared and put her hand down aggressively on our table and Shouted at us âdid we have a reservation?âWe were totally embarrassed and said no, she started abusing us verbally,Telling us we had taken the âBestâ table and it had been reserved. There was no sign and the waitress had not mentioned it?Our food arrived just then, so she said a few cross words to the waitress and walked offWith an angry face.We asked the waitress was it ok. And she said itâs fine, pay no attention to her.We ate our meal in total silence. My teenagers were shocked and embarrassed. The meal was ruined. The food was excellent but it was too late to improve the evening. My husband got up paid the bill and we left quickly! To make matters worse, the French people whose table we had âallegedlyâ taken were speaking about us at the top of their voices, during the meal and calling usârude and ignorant Englishâ We have been to France nearly every year since our children wereYoung and had no experiences apart from good ones.We will never visit this part of France again.SHAME ON YOU MADAMSuggestion: if you want to Reserve tables, it might be a good idea to buy a few signs,Or inform your staff better.I have read other reviews this year from French customers who had similar experiences with the Owner. The restaurant changed hands in 2018.Not for The Best I Fear!

We called in on a thursday lunchtime arriving at approximately mid day we hadn t booked but were given a warm welcome and a table in the window with a view of the sea . My husband had bulots followed by sardines and I had the sea bass with ginger all excellent choices although I myself could not eat the bulots The menu is varied and portions on the large size and all reasonably priced . It is a popular restaurant and was completely full by one o clock . We will certainly return but definately book in future thank you for your compliments , we are delighted to have met your expectations ... hope to see youcordially

If you are looking for something else than Crepes, choose this restaurant. They havean incredible choice of excellent dishes. During our stay in the nearby hotel, we haveeaten three times here and everything was perfect. Very good Entrecote, Hamburger,Cod, Langoustines and even the Pasta alla carbonara was outstanding. Don't miss theDesserts a real delight. Friendly and efficient staff......but don't forget to reserve.

We have lived in Brittany for 2 years and are doing a tour of all the creperies in our area. This one rates very high on our list. Wide choice of galettes, many using local produce, generously filled, and original dessert crepes as well. Owners very friendly, service rapid and efficient. The decor is modern-tasteful but not the classic charm of the older wooden creperies that still exist in Brittany.

We called in on the off chance of getting a table and were warmly welcomed and immediately shown a table. We felt very lucky as the restaurant soon filled up. The food and service were excellent and we will certainly be going again .

Stopped by here for a lunch whilst driving through St Gildas - seems quite small from the outside but inside is quite large. Seems popular with the locals which is always a good sign.Pizzas are very large and tasty and around â¬8-10 - we simply shared a pizza and a generous portion of fries for lunch. Kids meals were also a good size and again good value at around â¬8 including a soft drink and ice cream. Wines were also reasonable, with a 50cl pichet around â¬8. Service was good, and the surrounding area is quiet which helps with outdoor seating. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

This friendly, family-run restaurant serves some of the best crepes and galettes that we have ever tasted. The crepes have succulent consistency that delectable even before the various fillings and toppings are added. My marron (chestnut) and ice cream was just heavenly. Very helpful staff. Though le Galichan (named for the dregs of the batter which are too little to make another full crepe, and thus are thrown to the dogs) is easy to see from the main road, it is a bit complicated to get to. Follow your GPS, it is well worth it.

We had an excellent lunch in the cafe today. Both chose the lemon chicken brochette, which came with a large salad, beautiful sautéed potatoes and ratatouille. Delicious and filling. We really liked the distressed retro café decor - great fun. Staff were friendly and relaxed. It wasn't cheap at 15 euros for one dish, but worth it.

We both love fish and this restaurant was a perfect choice ,there are a selection of meat dishes but overall the emphasis is on fish . We had a garlic mushroom starter although there were plenty of fruits de mer options and oysters. To follow we had Turbot which was beautifully cooked along with fresh vegetables and risotto followed an enormous portion of apple crumble . There is menu de jour of 2 or 3 courses â¬16-â¬19 We will definately be returning

Sophisticated menu with a good attention for details for the presentation. We had both oysters and lobsters - both perfectly prepared with perfect taste, even though slightly over-salted. Good friendly and competent service. Wine selection can be improved and will benefit the dishes. Excellent address in the neighborhood.
