We arrived at Rio and as it was raining, we went directly to eat something- as the hotel was located at Barra da Tijuca, CT Boucherie was ellected! We already knew the one at Dias Ferreira street (Leblon), and that one (at Rio Design shopping), is as good as the other! We highly recommend!

Excellent service and tasty wines however the 7 course tasting menu left us feeling underwhelmed. We regularly eat at Michelin star, and other top, restaurants around the world so weâre really looking forward to this meal however the scallop dish with coffee vinaigrette was overpowered with vinegar, no other flavours shone through. The other courses were adequate but not nearly as innovative as the likes of Chila or I Latina in Buenos Aires despite being twice the price.Overall we expected more both for the price and reputation.

Having spent £250 in the Paris Gastro restaurant on a birthday meal, we thought we would finish with coffees and after dinner drinks in the elegant bar. No problem , it was half empty, until were told that all the vacant tables were reserved and that we would have to go back to the restaurant !!I asked ' reserved for whom ' - no answer ! I then said why not let us have coffee at a table , and we would leave when the 'important guests' arrived - they finally agreed, and of course no one turned up , but we felt uncomfortable and left soon afterwards.Strange - because the restaurant is very good , excellent starters, a wonderful duck main dish, inventive deserts and a strong I-Pad wine list. Service was a bit naive, but helpful, young staff who try to please but maybe need more training. The room is a faux French with copy furniture in a wonderful building surrounded by real art.Somewhat of an enigma, but worth a visit - just don't go in the bar !!

I visited this amazing Portuguese restaurant in the heart of Copacabana with 2 friends. Very professional and efficient staff, they all speak English. The restaurant is not too big and very quirky. Not posh but not the restaurant you would attend in flip flops & shorts. We were welcomed at the door and taken to the table straight away. This restaurantâs speciality is COD, Portuguese way. Amazing chunky cod portion served with eggs veggies and mush potatoes. Strongly recommended! Price wise not the cheapest in the area but well worth a visit!

This restaurant is located in the Sheraton Rio Hotel which is my home-away-from-home when I travel to Rio. Per TripAdvisor, the hotel has two of the top rated restaurants in the city, Bene and LâEtoile. Gustavo was our server and is wonderful. We had pasta specifically, I had the Gnocchi but requested it with Alfredo sauce instead of the sauce listed on the menu. It was the best Gnocchi that Iâve had outside of Rome, Italy. Itâs a beautiful venue so come and enjoy and ask for Gustavo!Hello AJP,Thank you for your comment, It's a pleasure for us to be your home-away-from-home, we take the gastronomy seriously and we fulfill our commitment to offer authentic Italian cuisine.I will pass on your comments to the Bene team and look forward to welcoming you again soon!Greetings,Marina Lanes

The food was excellent! Great textures, flavors, and unique combination of ingredients. International recipes with sauces and ingredients from different countries. Excellent service. Beautiful colorful decorations. Elegant, yet homey and comfortable. Definitely special. I spent a mother/daughter weekend here. We stayed in a suite and had a light lunch, nice dinner, and a breakfast fit for a king.

Now, letâs talk openly. This is an outstanding restaurant, with beautiful decor and impeccable table setting â for me the meal starts with quality table cloths and utensils â all clean cut. The food, ah, the food was delicious. I had a medium rare high fillet that came high and medium rare; service was International standard. The wine selection was great, and we had a Cabernet Franc from Mendonza, Argentina. If you come for the restaurant, though, make you you donât mind being inside of a hotel, in this case Sheraton. The view is great, but the food is better! So be it!Hello Nelsoncerq,Thank you for your comment and for share your experience with us.It's a pleasure for us to know that you enjoy the environment, wine selection and gastronomy. All the details are made to surprise our guests and receive comments like yours shows us that we are reaching our goal.We hope receive you again soon!Greetings,Marina Lanes

On December 30th, my children, me, and our wives decided to celebrate before the new year, since we would probably be separated. We decided to have lunch at Adega Santiago, a beautiful and pleasant restaurant located in the Village Mall, in Barra da Tijuca.I already knew the place, and it was a lovely afternoon, when we delight with the couvert of salted almonds and olives, great white wines, and octopus â a Lagareiroâ and cod âGomes de Sáâ.
