Hotel/Restaurant- very busy, we hadn't booked but the very friendly staff found us a table. Unfortunately the menu didn't have English underneath as with most restaurants, but we did OK. As they were obviously busy, service was a bit slow, but we were on holiday. Good for families, good food, Beer great!
Really liked eating here and whilst we were on the baby slope we ate here daily. It was busy but always managed to get a seat by asking and sharing. It was quieter than up the mountain so my son would come down on gondola to join us. The bratwurst and chips were lovely as was the potato cream soup. We drank skiwasser which was a very dilute pink squash. Prices much cheaper than up the mountain and even than the cafe next door. Quick friendly service. Cash only.

We ate here twice during our stay. The pizza menu was very traditional, as a vegetarian I would of liked the option of adding toppings to a Margarita. However my husband had the Inferno pizza which he thoroughly enjoyed very hot and spicy. the portions of pommes frites (chips) were huge . All at very reasonable prices .The staff were helpful and polite.

This became our haunt of choice while in Rauris. It's traditional, professional, attractive and exactly what you hope for in a wonderful small Austrian town. Drop in for a beer by the fire after skiing or stay longer - you won't be disappointed.

We had read great reviews so booked our last night here. The waitress was extremely good with our tired daughter and seemed very busy in the downstairs of the restaurant. However I never saw her without a smile. The service was a little slower than I would expect but nothing was too much trouble. We were disappointed that we could not order spaghetti with tomato sauce as a childâs portion. However we managed to share the adult portion and it was delicious as was the rest of our meal.

Located just above the gondola station this alm has a large outside terrace with fantastic views across the mountains. On this visit we stopped for morning coffee before setting off for a walk. We have previously been here in winter when everything is a bit frantic as skiers take a break from the slopes. This time it was a peaceful and relaxing interlude in warm sunshine.

We have been here on a number of occasions as it is ideally placed to start walks from in the summer, or do Langläufen (cross country skiing) in the winter. It always has a great atmosphere and settings, and has one of the best Kaiserschmarm in the valley.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxed late lunch here after walking in the Seidlwinkeltal. I had delicious Kaspressknoedel, which come in soup in a small enamel pot and are served with a side salad. My partber tried the smoked trout, which was also very good. We also had to try their beer, which they brew themselves. Full marks on that as well. Unfortunately, we were too stuffed to try any of the desserts or yummy looking ice creams. We hope to be back in Rauris next year, and this restaurant will definitely see us again a couple of times.
