The Conservatory is a hidden gem - a real find whilst we were exploring the Military Road south of Dublin, and well worth a visit, especially if you happen to be visiting Glendalough (one of Irelands most popular tourist destinations). The staff at The Co
This place is in a nice setting... HOWEVER do not bother wasting your time visiting because you will be met with THE MOST APPALLING SERVICE EVER... Think Faulty Towers bad...20 minutes of repeatedly trying to order was in vain... rude inattentive staff... havenât a clue... Observing them is hilarious.. they donât even write down the orders then wander around the place trying to figure out who gets what like headless chickens...The menu is simplistic at best... not exactly very complicated itâs two types of soup... served with scones ?? Unusual combination...CANNOT COMMENT ON THE FOOD BECAUSE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO ORDER.... the people who did manage the order it seemed to take a glacial amount of time...Oh and you might encounter the owner in the new flashy Mercedes who thinks itâs perfectly appropriate to spin the wheels of his car on the gravel driveway spitting up dust on the customers sitting outside...Oh and there is a For Sale sign outside...figures.. Weather was lousy so we decided on an unplanned stop for lunch. The whole place has been exquisitely renewed and the atmosphere is soft and gentle in the true Irish way. Lunch was a smoked salmon salad which was massive and reasonably priced. Great friendly staff especially the bar manager, good craic all around.

We ate here on two nights..they do a set menu for â¬39 for 3 course but you can just pick a main course. They are very accommodating. On first night I had the butternut squash tortellini and it was heaven..so so delicious!!!! We opted for different dishes each night and everything was mouth watering!! The chips are so tasty. I am still thinking about them. If you are in the area or staying in hotel then definitely go and eat in this restaurant you won't be disappointed.

We are staying nearby in Brittas Bay and our house owner recommended this place so stopped by last evening and it didn't disappoint. It is rustic, it brews its own beer and the staff we met (especially our server..she wore glasses and a great smile and the great bar men..) were lovely...and the food was just fantastic. Yes we too were given unnecessary plastic straws and the service could have been faster but I would certainly return, recommend and remember fondly. Many Thanks,

The Wicklow Heather Restaurant and is idyllically situated in the picturesque village of Laragh deep in the Wicklow Mountains, only minutes from the world renowned scenic and historic Glendalough, while the hustle and bustle of Dublin City is less than an
Nice little place, with lots of tables for seating. We were fortunate that we had a breakfast there, included with our stay at Trooperstown Lodge. We asked for breakfast sandwiches to go, and they were very helpful and accommodating. Also, the manager instructed us on the fine whiskeys of the area, and showed us the many different brands they have. As wee sip to taste, and we were on our way. Great atmosphere.

Stopped in here for coffee and cake. They had a 'New York Style' baked cheese cake on the menu which is my favorite cake, and one I make a damn fine version of at home, so I set the bar quite high with my expectations. Theirs was excellent, nice strong lemon taste in the filling and the base not too thick. Their coffee was very good (a pleasant surprise) and the special of the day, rhubarb crumble, was delicious. A great location in a lovely laneway location, just up from a fantastic authentic pub. What we saw of their meals looked and smelt fine too. Friendly staff topped off a nice afternoon break from the kids.

Good pub Irish pub with better than average dining area option away from the bar, facing the street. Food was fairly good and included a gluten free optionIf paying by cash - just watch your change - I had to ask again for my 10euro change - no apologies, so I felt like it may have been a habit.... just a feeling

Last minute booking and very accommodating. Menu was full of local produce and a good selection too. The restaurant was busy and a good vibe aground. Our waitress was Chloe and she was brilliant. Her first shift and she was faultless. Certainly worth a return. Only negative was the price, a little pricey and we had little or no alcohol. Other than that, very good and very enjoyable.
