A little removed from Lorient city center, but there is a small garden in a quiet area which is very nice when the weather is nice. Very nice place

Our hotelier recommended this place. We got a table no problem even without a reservation on a busy Saturday night. The decor is modern and quite chic. The menu is only in French but we got help from the waitress and ordered. The service was efficient and the food generally very good although my steak could have been a bit more tender. We will definitely return on our next visit to Lorient next summer.

This rather characterful restaurant is very close to the inner marina at Lorient. We were there during the Interceltique festival and the weather was very wet and windy. The staff were helpful and very cheerful despite the adverse conditions. We ate a nicely cooked and presented meal accompanied by the house wine at a very reasonable price .

Although not the prettiest street in Lorient, the minute you walk in the door of Le Tire Bouchon you are in a comfortable and relaxing place. The attention to detail is obvious and this is reflected in the food. Classically french, beautifully presented and tastes as good as it looks. It is a small restaurant (bijou I think is the word), maybe no more than 25 covers, but the tables are well spaced and offer privacy without loosing atmosphere. You can choose from set menus (â¬30 to â¬42) or á la carte and an the wine list offers an excellent range at reasonable prices. A great place for both small groups and couples and if you are looking for a romantic evening, then this is the place. You can expect to pay some â¬40 to â¬60 per head but I suggest that this is good value for this standard of food. Highly recommended.

This was a great discovery in a town where decent food can be found, but not so often great food.the cuisine was interesting and well prepared. The choice of wines excellent. Definitely a place to eat well and relax over a good meal. I suppose you could be fast as they are efficient, but it would be a pity not to enjoy the food at leisure.Mister,It is a pleasure for us to make our customers happy. We are nice to see that you have appreciate food and wine.Hope to see you soon in LE SABAYON.Le chef, David VINCENT

We ate here on Easter Sunday after a very wet game of golf.We received the usual warm welcome from Madame despite being rather early. The menu is small, but that is no critisism as there is something for all tastes. Cauliflower soup with haddock...delicious , as was the salmon starter. All the mains are cooked au feu du bois by the chef in the dining room. Brochettes of coquilles St Jacques are particularly tasty. The welcome, the service ( only the two owners doing everything) the locally sourced food and value for money make this a must stop for dinner if you are in the area.

Everything we had was extraordinary. The location is not very glamorous but it provides for very easy parking. Also once your are inside the decor is beautiful and the food lets your mind travel. The only slight disappointment was with the desserts, there were two and both were mousse based and lacked a variety of texture. Then again the flavors were amazing.
