Fun atmosphere, t very good traditional taverna food, very good prices, because on a side street, not seaside. Fist night we were greeted by the Captain, who makes his raki/fruit juice welcome shots during the winter. over our meals we tried: pork schnitzel, beef stifado, soutzoukakia, pastitio, moussaka, and dolmades. all very enjoyable. Sweet treat or raki at end of meal, complimentary.

'Selene' restaurant was established in 1986 in Fira, Santorini by Yiorgos and Evelyn Hatziyannakis. Our aim was from the very start, to show and promote the local products along with the local cuisine hoping that this will enable us to transmit to our gue
Every visit to Santorini includes a dinner in Selene Restaurant. Although the expectations are higher every year we have never been deceived. Comes may, begins the tension to see what the new menu will bring. It is simply amazing how they manage to find a high skilled chef every year. This year ouyr minds were blown away by the octopus (starter) and the pigeon (main). With the selected wine (by the glass) a perfect match ! As for desert : their interpretaion of 'cake' - that's the simple description on the menu- proves how much research is invested in this restaurant.Small portions, utterly high in taste, visually very attractive, a story to every wine on the elaborate list, worth every euro...Thank you Selene for another fantastic culinary experience!

Welcome to Aroma Avlis Food & Wine where the authentic taste of Santorini and the Mediterranean exalted by the freshness and unique quality ingredients. Immaculate tastes, finely paired with the exquisite wines of our winery find their ultimate rendition
Beautiful place to enjoy dinner. The grounds are gorgeous and the restaurant is intimate and charming. There were so many amazingly delicious courses including Santorini salad, traditional Greek salad, a trio of dips including beetroot "salad", tzatziki, and eggplant "salad", olives, mushrooms, and a main course of fresh sea bass, mashed root vegetables and steamed broccoli.Unfortunately, the wine was not as good as the food... and the servers did not seem interested in serving much of it. After the wine tasting, the servers poured us one full glass of wine but never came back to ask us if we wanted more.

Old cave-winery house converted in a restaurant with a roof terrace overwiew the tradicional village of Pyrgos. Relaxing place even during the very high season. Friendly staff and fresh home made food with a very good relation value for money.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation from our hotel manager. We didnât get disappointed. The food was great, the service was friendly and professional. The sunset view was spectacular. We ordered Santorini salad, tzatziki, smoked eggplant, local sausages and finally the soup of the day. The food was tasty and good portion. The prices slightly higher than in Kamari but you have a great view to enjoy the sunset. Depending on the season you go you might need to reserve a table. We didnât and still got a table. We would like to return again.

We shared a beautiful lunch here on a recent trip to Santorini. The food, surroundings and service were superb! The servings are large so shared starters are a great idea. There is also an air conditioned small function room if needed, but the restaurant is cool on a hot day with great views.Dear mrswilliamson,Thank you very much for your time reviewing Pyrgos restaurant. It really means a lot to us!We are looking forward to welcoming you in the future!

We had an excellent experience here while on our honeymoon. We sat on the balcony and had a beautiful view. The food was delicious and the service was great. Each course came with a special olive oil pairing which was really interesting. The restaurant itself is incredibly romantic and quiet- it was such a special dinner. We definitely would go back!

You must sit on the terrace and watch the sun set over the roof tops. Slightly compromised by a fairly busy road junction, but very good food and affordable. Lovely staff. Pics tell a very glamourous story which isn't really the reality.
