Courmayeur is mostly closed down in May, so we were delighted to find this place open -- and it was really good! We were greeted with an appertivi -- excellent vermouth. I ordered the artichoke appetizer -- unusual preparation and fantastic flavor. Husband had beef carpaccio, which had lots of interesting flavors. He had veal cheeks for dinner, I had salmon -- both were good, just not as innovative or delicious as the first course. For dessert we shared the three sorbets-- again, really creative and delicious. Service was excellent, wine list truly impressive. One of our best meals in Italy.

This was undoubtedly the culinary highlight of our week in Courmayeur. A very friendly atmosphere and very professionally rub. I had a starter of gnocchi with scallops - delicious. And a main course of fillet steak, beautifully cooked. House wine perfectly good and the whole evening cost c 50 Euros per head. 10 minutes walk from the town centre but well worth it!

I spent a long weekend in Courmayeur skiing with friends. We had lot of very good and friendly service, BUT this restaurant was our only disappointment. Mediocre food and some personnel whose clear ambitions was to express feed us, so that the table fast could be free for other tourists to fool.

We checked in at a boutique hotel nearby. (Un)fortunately the restaurant was already fully booked that night. So we took our umbrella and visited the Main Street of the village, looking at osterias , restaurant, bistro's.... just to find out Cadran Solaire. The right spot for a good meal (price quality), top service and a deep dive in the local atmosphere... BCBG, jetset, locals... all love this spot?!? including us, tourists. Great food, good wines what else?If in Courmayeur, always visit Cadran Solaire (reservation is wise, we were lucky)

Thanks to the people at La luge for making my last two Korean TMB trekking groups so happy and serving great steaks and burgers. We loved the food and enjoyed meeting the friendly staff. I will be back! Thank you Max and everyone else!

The hotel recommended us this place for a pizza and we were not disappointed! It was one of the best pizza I ever ate (and I am half Italian so I know what Iâm talking about). Fresh ingredients, thin dough and delicious tomato sauce. Plus it was so big I had to ask for a doggy-bag to bring 1/3 of it home ! The staff was very nice and the atmosphere is cosy and friendly (noisy in a good way). The place is very simple. I recommend !!!

I had been for a week end in Courmayeur with friends. The moment could not be more perfect than it was. A lot of snow after a great snowfall. The village plenty of a romantic atmosphere. And when we needed to complete the day with a beautiful dinner, we've got here, "Allo Sciatore", where the meats are "SUPER" but any other foods as well.Enjoy !

I had heard that some of the best restaurants in Italy are in Courmayeur. This is clearly one that deserves a better ranking in TripAdvisor... We ended up going twice in the week we stayed in town. The fondue mousse which we had as first course is outstanding! It's rare that I am this enthusiastic about a dish. It's light, fluffy and very refined. My wife had fried sweetbreads on both our visits, while I was also tempted by the roast pigeon breast and bread crumbed leg. Both were excellent. I also had a chocolate and citrus fruit pudding. Pleasantly tangy but perhaps not chocolately enough for my liking. Excellent service in classy surroundings in what from the outside looks like a rather unpretentious building. A must if you are a gourmet staying in Courmayeur.

The whole atmsphere is lovely here. Staff are cheerful and friendly, and food is great. We had pasta with wild boar ragu and gnocchi with rabbit ragu; both were delicicious and very filling. Prices are fair. Highly recommend.
