Discover Restaurants offering the best European food in Portofino, Italy. One of the most popular resort towns on the Italian Riviera, little Portofino has just over 500 permanent residents. But that all changes on summer days when the sun is shining and the yachting set drops anchor in the harbor to wander about. Boutiques, art galleries, cafes and restaurants line the tiny streets. Diving, hiking and beach-going are popular local pastimes, and there are even some historic sights like the Church of St. Martin (Divo Martino) and the Castello Brown hilltop fortress.

I almost don't want to write this review as I don't want this little gem of a restaurant to be overrun.Among all the over priced pretentious restaurants in this over crowded tourist town this little place serves great value excellent food at proper prices... litre of wine â¬18 and a pizza about â¬10. Friendly service.

Italian, Mediterranean see food cuisine. Vegetarian plates. No vegan options. Raw materials high quality.
First of all, let me tell you not to take any notice of the negative reviews of this restaurant. Ristorante MOG is not your normal run of the mill restaurant. It has a contemporary fit out and an amazing chef, using only the best quality ingredients. If you want all this and outstanding food you are naturally going to pay more than average. However your taste buds will be rewarded, without too much damage to your wallet or credit card. The complainers obviously have no pallet and no appreciation of fine dining. They should probably stick to the pizzeria, but they would still find something to whinge about. The girls on the floor were good and were able to tell us about wines by the glass. It would be easier if these were included in the wine list. Unfortunately beer choices were poor. One cheap Mexican beer and one 9% alcohol beer.Italian beer is great. Please get rid of these two and use the Italian option. We shared a gnocchi entree which was excellent, combining the flavors of olives, tomatoes and hard ricotta. Our main course of fillet steak, foie gras and port sauce could only be described as outstanding. Our bill came to 110 euros, which is about what we would pay for a similar quality meal in Australia. However it was still great value considering the outstanding quality and the passion and finesse of the chefs.

Traditional Ligurian restaurant, located in the historical center of the town in a beautiful square. Tipical and local food, fresh pasta home made, fresh salads, bruschette, beef fillet steak, fresh fish everyday, vegetarian and gluten-free menu. Good wine
This was another recommendation from friends. We are not foody people, and we are budget conscious, but we enjoyed our pasta dishes and side orders, although portions were on the small side. The quality of the food was excellent, but more expensive than other places in Santa Margherita. Not convinced that the quality, though good, justified the higher prices.

Splendid location, onshore of Paraggi.Nice furniture and competent waiter.Food well garnished, even if tagliolini weren't well mixed. The only flaw was Prosecco price. Too expensive ⬠60 per bottle

April is not a season for Portofino, that's why to have supper alone with sea view is a real pleasure. Hospitable staff and tasty truffle pasta are the main reason to visit this place.ÐпÑÐµÐ»Ñ - ÑÑо не Ñезон Ð´Ð»Ñ ÐоÑÑоÑино, именно поÑÑÐ¾Ð¼Ñ Ð¾ÑÐµÐ½Ñ Ð¿ÑиÑÑно наÑладиÑÑÑÑ ÑÐ¸Ñ Ð¸Ð¼ и ÑÑÑнÑм Ñжином Ñ Ð²Ð¸Ð´Ð¾Ð¼ на моÑе.ÐÑиÑÑнÑй пеÑÑонал и оÑÐµÐ½Ñ Ð²ÐºÑÑÐ½Ð°Ñ Ð¿Ð°ÑÑа Ñ ÑÑÑÑелÑми.

Six of us recently had lunch at the Belmond Splendido's Terrace restaurant. The hotel itself is beautiful as it is carved into a cliff, offering spectacular views. As for the restaurant, a major disappointment and rip-off. To charge 38 euros(about $40) for a small bowl of spaghetti where you can almost count the strands, and 11 euros (about $12) for a very SMALL bottle of diet Coke, and 23 euros (about $26) for a glass fo house wine is unconscionable. When the main dishes arrived we were shocked at the tiny size of the portions. The food tasted good, above average, but was not worth the expense. Best advice is to take the hotel shuttle from in front of the pharmacy to the hotel, take pictures of the view and the infinity pool, and return to the port to eat well for 1/3 the price.Dear alanwV7329VA, first of all allow me to thank you for finding find the time to share your feedback. Need to prebook but its worth it . The lovely garden area at the rear provides a lovely atmosphere for the great food. The veggie dip plus the lovely homemade bread to their own recipe was very welcome precursor to the fish main course and superb desert. If in SM you must eat here! Its hidden away in the back streets but worth tracking it down. Recommended.Hidden away in the back streets? Above all you appreciated our dessert, we are still working on it to surprise our best clients... What are you waiting for? Come back soon!

A delightful little al fresco restaurant set in a short paved courtyard about 300m west of the centre of Santa Margherita Ligure off the Portofino road. You must go, but make sure you book. Fantastic fresh local produce prepared with great love and care, and great service. We had octopus and mustard dressing and seafood carpachio to start, then the special ravioli with a beef sauce. All extremely good, followed by 2 exquisite puddings. They clearly love what they do and yearn to share it with diners. Do go!Many thanks for last night, "Mr John" and the wife

A HISTORIC MANOR of the end of '800 facing the sea : location for exclusive EVENTS , new RESTAURANT
We were staying at the Grand Bristol hotel in Rapallo end of September 2016 and the weather was excellent so walking about we passed the Villa twice a day for 4 days before we worked out how to get to it as their signage was a bit lacking - but eventually went into the communal park and found the entrance gate! So glad we did. It is an oasis of calm away from the bustle and traffic of downtown Rapallo and simply stunning views from the terrace. Very romantic and nicely furnished.Had dinner and then came back for our last holiday lunch. Both times the service was attentive and the food excellent. Enjoyed the risotto with strawberries and the sea bass baked in salt - well cooked and not overdone as sadly it can be.Overall it is a cut above any other restaurant in Rapallo and we would thoroughly recommend seeking it out if you are staying in or near Rapallo.
