Great eating place and the choice although small is very good. I love the chicken and the prawns and there is a great combo now with the two together served with a few chips and a salad for about R110. You can take your own wine or order there

A visit to Port Elizabeth is not complete unless you have visited The Rose Garden, a coffee shop in the middle of Floradale Nurseries at 63 Circular Drive, Charlo. Here you do not only find peace and tranquility but you can treat your taste buds to the mo
Good venue. Kid friendly. Good coffee. The service is slow. The place is always spotlessly clean. It is very pleasant to sit on the veranda and looking at the garden.Dear Nigel,Thank you for your kind review of the Rose Garden. Our staff always enjoy serving you.Kind regards from all of us at the Rose Garden

If you are looking for innovative, high-end cuisine, then rather go elsewhere, but Old Austria more than delivers on consistently good old favourites, year after year. Judging from the lunchtime clientele, many of whom were greeted by name by the host, there is a large number of satisfied and loyal diners. It's lovely to be able to enjoy a meal in a calm, genteel environment, where there is attention to the niceties of dining - frequently absent in today's frenetic pace of life.Old Austria gets a thumbs- up from me!

Overall a great experience and definitely a restaurant with attention to detail. All the employees in the restaurant was dressed the same, all friendly and helpful. We were a group of about 12 people and had no issues.Food was prepared as ordered and all happy. Waiters attentive and service good.Wine maybe a bit expensive, but then that's a restaurant thing. With a corkage fee of only R30, I will definitely take my own wine.

An interesting menu. We chose a combo of Portuguese Chicken (medium strength) and King Prawns, accompanied by boiled potato and spinach and carrots,Comments:The medium strength gave the chicken a subtle bite - I enjoy fairly hot dishes so will order the hot next time. The chicken was succulent and tender. The prawns were delicious - firmer than other prawns I've eaten recentlyShanna and her husband came to chat to us and he explained that they are wild Argentinian prawns, whereas the Queen Prawns are farmed, so it depends on one's preference.A useful tip they gave us is to ask to have eg one sardine or a small piece of cod as a starter rather than as a main first time round as they are Portuguese style and perhaps more of an acquired taste. We took our own wine and paid corkage. Our waitress was pleasant, prompt and helpful. All in all, a special experience for a special occasion.Shanna and her husband

De Kelder Restaurant specialises in Seafood, Steaks and local Venison.open Monday to Friday 12.00 to 2.00 and 6.00pm to 10.00 pm Monday to Saturday.
We visited in mid July with family and friends. The restaurant is apparently quite famous, and one of the older spots in Port Elizabeth.I found the service to be excellent, and the T-Bone I ordered was excellent, as was the Springbok Carpaccio.By local standards it's a bit on the pricey side I think, but it's a quiet, subdued and welcoming place for couples and groups. I would recommend a visit.

The restaurant offered a nice menu with not too many choices (my preference). They offer a mediteranian vibe and sure enough it did feel that way. I had the pizza and my colleaugues went for meat dishes. Unfortunately the signature dish (oxtail) was sold out. The pizza was OK but better can be had elsewhere. The espetada was a reasonable choice and the lamb shanck also carried approval. The best part was probably the ambiance and up-stairs location. Service was good. The Don Pedros should have been much better. Will I be back - probably not as there are too many other places that require a chance and our visits to PE are infrequent.

This is fast-becoming one of PE's well-known culinary institutions as it is very popular amongst the locals and foreigners alike.Close to our Sports Stadium, it equally exudes a festive flair amongst diners sharing rustic wooden tables and benches, with a self-service bar and a freezer full of ice.The authentic Portuguese flavors are evident in all their dishes, with the 3 main dishes being their rather pricey prawns (at R35 each), as well as their very tasty peri peri chicken and (not-to-be-missed and more reasonably-priced) ribs. These can all be served with a large portion of hand-cut crispy fries, a Portuguese salad, and Portuguese rolls. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for the evening, and get messy with the finger-licking flavors of Portugal!

Muse offers relaxed fine dining. The focus is on reinventing and modernising classic comfort meals. Healthy well presented dishes with fresh ingredients.
This is my first review of Muse after visiting the restaurant a number of times. This restaurant is really a gem. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. They made sure that there were no potential food allergy issues. As for the food- it is amazing! My favourite is the short rib pasta, but you really can't go wrong with any of the other items on the menu. The chef even came out to make sure we were okay and enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be back time and time again.
