Located just a few blocks from Hotel LeGoyen in Audierne. Sometimes when travelling through France and enjoying all the delectable French food the hankering just hits for pizza or a great plate of pasta . This is just the place ,simple restaurant , family operated and very friendly . I can vouch for the lasagne , meaty , cheesy and excellent served with a simple salad . The pizzas smelled and looked superb. Satisfyingly good .

Fairly good food right on the beach. Reasonable prices on most dishes. Try the mushroom with sour cream crepes and hot chocolate.

We visited for lunch and were attracted by the superb position on the point above the sea with 180 degree views of the bay. It was a sunny, breezy day but the outdoor terrace was relatively sheltered from the wind, had we preferred to eat outside. There is a dining room and a large covered terrace with windows all round where we had a table. It is obviously popular and has regular clients. The menu is simple: a couple of starters, mussels with a choice of 4-5 sauces, steak with a similar range of sauces, a fish of the day. We had a very generous bowl of moules mariniere with good chips and skate wing with accompanying vegetables, both of which were perfectly cooked and delicious. The desserts are Tarte Tatin or ice cream based and there is a childrenâs menu offering ham and chips. Friendly service, house wines and good coffee. There are plenty of fish restaurants in Audierne but Le Grand Large has the most spectacular views.

Le Bar Breton provided us with an excellent meal this evening which was also really good value for money. Having spent the last three days in St Malo consuming rather ordinary fare, it was a welcome change to experience authentic French cuisine. We had excellent fillet of sardines which were prepared as a type of course pate/terrine. Really delicious. Had great pollock fish dish and dear husband had duck. Three courses, with a bottle of wine and two ricard to start - all for 70 euros. The staff were also very efficient and pleasant. Definately worth a visit. Thank you for a lovely evening

We've eaten here many times but never quite been able to put a finger on what's missing - it's atmosphere. Food always well prepared and very tasty, fairly wide choice, especially of fish (no surprise), reasonably priced wine list, mouth-watering desserts too. Very busy, mostly always with locals - there's a separate restaurant for guests - but with the exception of the owner/manager the staff seem uninterested and not very attentive. A spot of training wouldn't go amiss. Nevertheless, a damn good lunch!

Excellent Brittany Food right on the seaport of Audierne. But, better book, because of probably few staff in the kitchen, makes it difficult for the Chef to handle too many customers at the same time (About 10 tables). As usual in France, the service is not at the top, what matters most is the great food we had several time at l'Iroise. For those who love Cheese, there is a great choice of +/-50 kinds presented on an impressive bench. The Wine list is extensive, but not cheap.

I should admit that these were the best out of my three oysters experiences in Bretagne. I do not even mention the overall high-level quality of service in the restaurant which was definitely high-level and which was absolutely unexpected taking into account that the place itself is pretty distances from the cities or attractions and it takes you more than 1 hour to drive to this place from the big city like Quimper. But it definitely appeared to be worth it. And this is the place I would love to come back again. For the magnificent sunset just behind the sea-sky-line? For the fresh sea-air? For the beautiful senery and pictures around? Yes, yes, of course, but mostly for the crazingly tasty oysters!!! ))))

Very tasty Crepes and Galettes plus good service at low prices.
On our way back from Point du Raz we stopped at this little place for a snack. They informed us that they will close in 30 minutes but it wasn't a challenge for them to serve us a full meal in that time :)The Crepes were outstanding. A wide variety of tastes and combinations. I had an omelette with fries...delicious. Due not talking about Michelin star cuisine and in relation to the prices the place is 5 points. For sure.We even stopped there another time when being around that area...knowing that they don't let you down!

Rolled up on a beautiful day with clear blue sky and 27c. Saw the sign âcreperie Le galionâ and thought...perfect, coffee and crepes. Good, friendly service. Two cups of great coffee with sort of ice cream treat instead of a biscuit. But....no creps and a bill for â¬7 ..! Nice little place though, right by a lovely beach. Just a shame thatâs its pricey and doesnât sell what it says on the label. At least not when I was there.
