Find out what European restaurants to try in Plettenberg Bay. The caves of Plettenberg Bay are wrinkles in time, lined with ancient artifacts that date to the Middle Stone Age. Under the sun, Robberg, Central and Lookout beaches are pristine stretches of white sand, magnets for tourists, seagulls and dolphins, who bob playfully just off shore. Wildlife lovers will delight at the Birds of Eden aviary and Monkeyland. (How can you not have fun in a place called Monkeyland?)

We are a family-owned & -operated neighbourhood eatery right in the heart of Plettenberg Bay's suburban area. With a cozy reading nook, sunroom, fireplace and a lush garden area with outside seating and a sand pit for the kids, what's not to love? We make
Have eaten there three times, once had babotie which was fair, twice had the seafood chowder which was very good and good value the first time but had gone ubbeknown up in price and down in quality the second a week later, leaving me disappointed. The waitron I found to be rather too buddy buddy and disrespectful of my age.I shall not be back as the prices are too high and the choices too limited.Dear Garth, the first time you had it, it was on a special offer (promotion). We did make you aware of that upon you asking for the chowder specifically. I'm sorry if you feel that a chowder with prawns, calamari, mussels & hake isn't worth R85. As for the quality, you are, of course, entitled to your opinion. We are all human, so it's obviously possible that we could have slipped up in the kitchen. I would like to invite you to come and have another chowder. If you honestly don't enjoy it, I'll pay for it.

In a magic corner of your mind, there is a place where the sun always shines and worldly cares melt as rapidly as ice-cream cones on hot sand. "LM in Plett" is the gateway to that happy land! Our aim is to satisfy you with outstanding service, mouth-water
5 of us went here for lunch and had a nice meal. We went there for the ribs as we were told they were fantastic. The two men had them and really enjoyed them. The rest of us all ordered different items and I had a burger. The warm bread they brought while we waited for our meal was appreciated as we were all quite hungry.

Chez Laurent serves classic French country side dishes, served in a cosy and warm homely atmosphere. In winter a lovely fireplace with devine food to warm your inner being. The "Far Side" pub is fully licensed for your convenience. Bon appetit!!!
Chez Laurent has moved to Nothandos Backpackers. When you book, get directions. Very simple rustic place to eat. Laurent has a few wines and soft drinks to purchase. I think he has beers as well.No bring your own! Wine by the glass very inexpensive.Menu limited and Laurent is famous for his Fillet Pepper Steak and shoestring chips and to finish his creme brulee. Laurent is friendly and fun and his staff are very sweet. The little restaurant is small enough so that all the visitors end up talking to each other in front of a lovely fire enjoying their delicious food at reasonable prices. A very interesting experience!!

I sometimes forget how beautiful South Africa is. Driving along the Garden Route we booked ourselves into the Hunters Lodge and it felt like we stepped into a whole new world. This lodge welcomes you more then professionally. Everything your heart desires is already waiting for you. Incredible clean and with beautiful designed rooms, the surrounding garden will take your breath away. Little gestures like chocolate, cookies, extra water und rose petals together with gorgeous handwritten notes seem to be the norm.I will definitely return ASAPDear Adrianahani,Hunter's Country house is certainly a haven in this busy world and the Garden Route as you say is beautiful in itself. We are so happy to hear that you were cared for so well and that you enjoyed all our lovely little touches. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel!Warm regardsKaren

While staying at Hunters Country House we had a meal at Sage and one at Zinzi. Zinzi was nice , lovely setting, but we preferred the more personal service at Sage. Food was good. Bread and dips to start, then we had duck confit and a pork belly. Latter came with a terrible piece of crackling but mash was good. Nowhere in SA have I had crackling that is crispy. Too few carrots. Nice MCC wine and lovely Malva. Good but not as good as our previous night at Sage.

We stopped at the Corner Bistro with no particular expectation. Simply because on a Sunday afternoon not much was opened. And Oh my God. Best pizza ever. Huge! But so so thin. It was delectable. Same with the home made apple and almond cake. Our waiter Zain was a lovely attentive young man and the owners, a delightful German couple, even came to talk to us and asked if we liked the pizze. Clearly! Our plates were empty. The owner and chef imports his flour from Italy no less. Everything was just lovely down to the mini amaretto biscuit with our coffee.
