The restaurant is between the street and the river. Unfortunately the sun set as soon as we arrived, so we didn't get to see much outside. Inside was lovely. This was a conference dinner and as conference dinners go, it was one of the best! The first course was shaved veal with roasted pears. Much like carpaccio is with beef. Second course was a vegetarian lasagna but the cheese was smoked and gave the dish the most delightful flavor. There was also a risotto with saffron, but the lasagna made the risotto seem bland. Should have eaten them in reverse order! The finish was a citrus sorbet served in a flute for sipping. There were assorted tiny cookies, but the sorbet was wonderful. The wine never stopped. We had a bottle each of white and red. Our table was drinking white, and it was replaced as we emptied it. We finished three whites and a red. The cost of the meal was 30 euro, but I am sure it was a group rate. We had the entire restaurant. Bathrooms were lovely marble with individual linen towels. The conference coordinator did a wonderful job selecting the venue and the menu!

Nice place, chilling and welcoming. We sat outdoor underneath a wonderful patio in a warm summer night...and you couldn't ask any better. The food is very good, a mention to the careful selection of the ingredients. Kudos to the unusual pizza style, where the dough is likely to cook into a round pan. I had a tuna seared with Sichuan black pepper pizza, so good!Must go place, recommended.

Pizza - it's a very simple food from one side, but it's so difficult to made it just right. Very-very thin dough, delicious tender mozzarella, fresh ingredients - this is the recipe of success. Thank you guys for the great time!Thank you very much! You are so kind! We are very happy that you like our pizza!Bye bye!

If you have ever been in Spain, I strongly recommend you avoid this place. Both entrées and main servings were very disappointing, and what didn't go back to the kitchen bin, was eaten out of pure hunger, with no pleasure whatsoever. I would dare saying that private brand canned food in Spain is way better. Pork, cheese, seafood were, at best, supermarket quality, with a plus of weird tastes. The Sangria drink was all ice, and resembled those fast food cups ice&soda fashion, only more expensive and without free refill. Catalan cream totally liquid under the characteristic caramelized sugar top. What a waste of time and money.

The restaurant offers a set menu at â¬10 that consists of a pasta/risotto and a main dish with a side and a coffee . There is no menu in English but the waitress could clarify some words that were beyond my basic italian. The clientèle were mostly locals: families, groups of friends etc.

Amazing placed on a enchanting place in front of a breathtaking church .. The restaurant at first sight looked like the perfect place to eat traditional local cuisine. The service was impeccable .. But the food, unfortunately didn't convince .. Certainly I only had 3 simple dishes (local clear soup, brasato+polenta, cake) ..but these were just ok

With friends I was in Pavia on at midday on a Monday and in need of lunch. There were a limited number of restaurants open and La Torre degli Aquila was easy to find. We nabbed the last table available and afterwards saluted our good fortune as the hospitality and food is of the highest quality. The restaurant is very traditional, and the clientele seemed to be exclusively local patrons who I suspect come in for lunch on a regular basis. My companions had relatively light meals while I was tempted by the parmesan risotto with Osso Bucco. It was outstanding, full of flavour and one of the best homely meals I had on my trip. We stuck to the local red wine by the carafe and that also seemed a good quality for the price. The next time I find myself in Pavia I will return.
