It's an very old building reconverted as is into a restaurant
Visit every year with friends who take us. Always a lovely experience. Very rustic inside but the food is lovely and the wine flows. We have been lucky on our visits as we usually have had Spanish guitarists who just make the afternoon wonderful. Only downside is the somewhat scary ride up !

Have previously thought this restaurant was very good but somewhat disappointed with our recent visit. We ate lunch on the rear terrace. My starter was good and I enjoyed my main course. However my wife had melon which was underripe and not sweet. Her salmon main was ok but the people in our party who opted for fruit salad as a desert were given a dish of underripe fruit apart from the pineapple. The nectarine was inedible and the whole dish was tasteless. The coffee was far too strong. The house wine was very poor and not up to the standard we have enjoyed here before.

We have visited this large family restaurant many times as a couple and with our clubs in Benidorm International Singles Club (now Benidorm international Friendship Club). There is outdoor flamenco entertainment usually from June and the food is excellent. First course is a huge salad bar selection including meats cheeses and salmon mouse. ³ course menu prices are usually 15⬠without flamenco and 22⬠with, including wine. One of the most popular venues and booking on Summer Saturdays is recommended.

Sunday lunch here surrounded by Spanish locals and you know it must be a good restaurant. We love coming back for the favourites of goulash and an excellent piece of sole. The menu does not vary but the quality is always there. The price is very reasonable costing around 15 - 20 euros for three courses including a half bottle of vinalopo wine. We always try to come here at least once during our visits to Spain. The view from the terrace is spectacular. Just a pity it was a little too cold to sit outside.

I took my sister and my brother in law to have a meal here because it's local for us living in this village. The food was quite good, as usual, but because it was full and they'd only got 2 people serving and 1 chef it took 3 hours to get served. If they want customers and they know they are busy, then they should get more staff. The 2 that were on were rushing around and obviously embarrassed by our wait.3 hours is too long to wait for a meal.It will be a while before we take anyone else there.

Now under the name of Victoria Station, this was a fantastic discovery. Superbly cooked British-style food, beautifully presented and great value three courses with wine included - the little added extras of amuse bouches, tapas, bread and sorbets between courses made a very good meal exceptional. Choice of imaginative puddings wonderful. Don't be put off by the quirky interior. Garden looked lovely, would be great to eat there in warmer weather. Staff excellent and welcoming

Nou Portet is to be found in the beautiful countryside of the Vall de Pop at km 23 on CV 715, which is the road from Alcalali to Orba. The restaurant is an attractive building situated amongst olive and carob trees and has an extensive outdoor patio. Nou
We visited twice during our week in the area & this is a lovely restaurant. The squid starter is great & so is the cuttlefish (sepia). We were a bit worried about the "green sauce" but it was just a salsa verde & really nice. My son & I had the duck in raspberry sauce main both times as it was so nice,

My family of 5 had a great family dinner at El Paradiso. For the children there was either the choice of participating with the regular menu or pick either spaghetti, chicken nuggets or a burger. Two opted for the spaghetti and one for the regular menu. The local wine was nicely chilled, the starters are fixed unless you donât eat meat or fish. We had fish and lam and both were really nice! The management is really friendly and we would come back for the nice atmosphere. At the end the bill was only 70 euro so great value for money!

We have has the pleasure of dining here on several occasions, Never had a bad meal, the steaks are so tender and cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and attentive, but not too in your face, The ambiance is just right if you are having a romantic meal or Tapas with friends, The prices are a bit higher, but well worth it. FOR A SMALL VILLAGE, THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM.
