What a fabulous fusion of French and Tahitian food. Very creative menu, excellent wine choices (including several half bottles - perfect for those dining alone or when sleep is not on the itinerary in the afternoon!)It bothered us not that it is the same menu for lunch and dinner as there were plenty of options available for either meat, fish or even vegetarians. The meals were extremely well presented and the flavours and freshness very good. Sadly those who enjoy our fish in the ceviche/sashimi style will find only one appetizer prepared in this manner. The 'Red tuna fish sashimi - Japanese style' was excellent however it would have been good to have a main course selection.Care has been taken to the presentation of the restaurant (nice stem and flatware as well as linen napkins) and the staff were very friendly and efficient. My only word of warning - beware the warm bread rolls especially when smeared with lots of creamy butter...

practically next door to Wan's Pearl Museum
We arrived at 11:30 AM and the place was empty. Suddenly at noon the place was full of happy locals. After many attempts we have never found better Poisson Cruz. The place is very casual, withreasonable prices for very large portions. This was one of our best meals.

We stopped in here for a strawberry tart. The restaurant was crowded and seems to always have a crowd. The service was good and the tart fresh and light. I would recommend giving it a try.

In center town, near the Papeete Market Place, the restaurant "Au Piment Rouge" will welcome you in the south west of France and the Bask Country. Our menu is translate in english, italian, and japanese. Local fishes, meats (beef, veal, lamb, chicken) and

The restaurant has less than 10 tables, but we loved the variety of the menu and the drinks. Truly French. They started us with a house complimentary duck spread with french bread and complimentary compotes. We shared foie gras for two. My husband had steak frites with bernaise sauce and a salad. I enjoyed veal kidneys in a mustard sauce. To end a Grand Marnier Souflle . Lovely

Fabulous find in Papeete! Our tour guide, Tracey, made a reservation for us at the wonderful restaurant. The food was fresh, creative, and flavorful. The soufflés were exceptional. We opted for savory and dessert soufflés in addition to our mains. Service was friendly and everyone was helpful with our rudimentary French. Itâs not an inexpensive restaurant but we felt it was a very good value for the quality of the food and experience. This is a great choice for dining in Papeete.

cuisine fine Française et d'ailleurs mais bistronomique. Espace cosy et décoré avec soin. En plein centre ville de Papeete.
We spent 3 days in Papeete, before embarking on a cruise, and fortunately decided to venture beyond our hotel's predictably fine but expensive restaurants. We had heard about this establishment, and when we visited, we were delighted with this outstanding selection! The food, the service, and the crisp white tablecloth ambience was as good as you will find in any world class restaurant. But be warned, it is a very small restaurant with only about 6 tables, and it is EXTREMELY popular with locals, so bookings are essential. We chose the Degustation menu where each course was wisely sized (so we didn't end up "stuffed"), and delicious!! The a love, always carte menu selections are sensibly limited, which ensures that everything offered if fresh and delicious. Our bill approximated 10000 Pacific Francs pp, which while perhaps approaching top dollar for Papeete, converts to a reasonable amount by international standards, and well below what one would pay for comparable fine dining in Paris. We would joyfully return in a flash, and highly recommend this restaurant to any visitor!

Table of six. Very nice atmosphere. First course included burrata salad and escargots. Portions for the first course was larger than expected. The salad was very good. The escargots was good but could use a little more garlic (it was presented in white wine cream sauce). Others had mushroom ravioli and a smoked fish dish which they liked.Second course included a fillet with a cream wine sauce that came with sides of cheese potato and steamed vegetables. Another second course meal was a strip steak covered in a wine cream sauce accompanied by a half bone of marrow. Very decadent. The second course was also too much food with having the first course. We shared the trio creme brulee (vanilla, chocolate and pistachio) and bananas foster (which was accompanied by french toast.Along with five bottles of wine and after dinner drinks, the tab came to a little over $200 per couple which we thought was a good deal. Loved this place.

Chose this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. Made reservations online a few weeks before our trip. Delicious food, wine and service; exceeded our expectations. Lamb chops, my favorite, were the best ever. Portions for starters and entrees are large enough to split so thereâs room for their delicious desserts. We had a wonderful, romantic eveningin paradise! Donât miss this restaurant!
